I no mathematician, but that's how it referred to.
kilos are weight, but m3 is area. The only way to convert one to the other is if you know the weight of an item per m3. For example 1 litre of water weighs 1kg, so 1000L (1m3) = 1 metric ton (1000kg). Obviously 1m3 of feathers would weigh considerably less.0 -
Obviously kilos are weight and anything cubed is volume, but answers derived from volume calculations in parcel terms are referred to in KG.

I'm not sure their method would be 100% legal under the weights and measures act0

am really confused now!! does the actual weight of 14kg not matter then? I ended up with parcelforce, as i couldnt figure out whether it met the other carrier's restrictions.!
payment is on hold with paypal (i am a relatively new seller) until pos feedback is received (i have read the other thread about this with interest) so i need to make sure this item gets there successfully!0 -
Does anyone know of a cheap courier service using parcelforce where you can drop off parcels at the post office? or a local courier depot if cheap enough
We are both out all day at no fixed base so cannot use a collection courier.
Thanks0 -

The actual weight does matter,.
The weight cannot be more than 30kg in either gross (scales weight) or volumetric (volume), which ever is greater is used as the parcel weight.
Did you use paypal to buy the parcelforce booking, if so I'd reccomend these people Express Packages Deliveries £8.99 Parcelforce 24hr.0 -

You are the person to do it or to do a summary based on your own expertise. Please.
Personally I think we could do with a new thread as much of the discussion in this thread is redundant, especially for newbies as they won't know what's hit them if they read this thread from the beginning!
Also lack of info on sending Europe and International....be nice to get that down so it can be easily viewed and so I don't have to repeat myself to the same questions all the time!!0 -
agreed,a nice fresh thread would be good0

Is it just me or has Pharos International gone? Now it diverts to citipostinternational.com0
