Oh I see. I thought you meant their side was down again.

You would think that the couriers had either agreed the price with them or not. If they haven't then they shouldn't say anything at all.
  • Well their cheap prices seem to have gone as well. The site is marginally improved though.

been using ppwexpress recently and collection and booking all been fine til friday, when i got a message back saying their account with dhl had been suspended, and was let down.
    Not good.
After an email to them, was assured it was a temporary lack of comms with dhl (maybe they needed to pay their bill??!!), and collections would resume on monday.

Unsure about them now, so may have to revert to Parcel2go

Anyone else get no collections on friday?

Unfortunately this is a common problem with courier agents, especially when they start a price war with each other. This is also the reason why they often change courier on quite a regular basis.

Yes, one of the parcels we booked late on friday had the same problem
    DECLINED BY DHL
    error: contract number 949127* - stopped/terminated (rc)

It had gone 5 by the time I realised so I couldn't phone ppw, so I phoned DHL, account number in hand to ask what the problem was, and they said the account was fine, not on the stop or anything.

Can only assume it was a glitch in the automated system.

Or they had paid by then.

They wouldn't go into details about a customers account with you on the phone.
  • Well well well
I have been away on holiday and I have come back to so many changes in such a short time
I was tempted to try DPD's European services as they were so reasonably priced but it would seem that DPD are no longer offering a European service.

PPW seem to be having problems so I think I will give them a miss (at least until I know for definite that they are sorted)

I have around 20 parcels to arrange for collection tomorrow (UK to UK) any offers going that I have missed?

giving ppw another chance, 2 parcels just booked, and got the 'dhl approved' email through, fingers crossed for collection tomorrow!. Notice that a few of their options have disappeared from the choice of delivery (no insurance upgrade for instance)

Good news. From that it seems it was possibly over a disagreement with insurance payouts??

We've also just booked a few now and had the same confirmation.
