gotta love how almost everyone with something bad to say about DSE has a post count almost directly related to their number of posts in this thread. One of them even seems to think we'll believe them replying to their own post?!?

would DSE charging less than every single other courier company in the uk have something to do with this? are they that scared that they're going to lose all their custom to them? why not lower their own prices to compete?

and here's a though - ban all <10 posters from this thread. it's getting a little rediculous...

nevertheless, until enough people with good DSE experience come forward, and they've been around long enough, ballon & gift is where my money's going.

I have just ordered a collection from Direct Sales. The booking page says I should receive a confirmation email from them within 5 hours - presumably once they have booked it with the courier.

I will post a followup if/when the delivery is completed.

    Peas.

Well 5 hours passed and no confirmation email. I have contacted seller via their website to cancel and requested a refund.

    updates to follow

Well i took the chance with a cheap ( sale price ) parcel via Direct Sales Europe and i eventually got a email off them with a tracking number.

The parcel has arrived at the destination country but not at the buyers... i shall keep everyone informed

Message to the OP. MH Direct now add VAT to their £6.99 DHL delivery charge making the total price £8.21. No longer the bargain they were.

Also I have to add, Ive got 2 outstanding loss/damage claims with them and boy are they slow in paying out. Also, last week I had the first failed collection for a booking.
  • Hi everyone,
I know first time posters seem to be suspected in this thread, but the email I sent to the Moneysaving team doesn't seem to have been taken into account, so here you go.
I followed the link to MH Direct couriers on Friday morning (after 10am) and placed an order for a same day UK delivery (£6.99). I gave a collection and a delivery address, and my money was immediately taken.
I received a payment confirmation from Paypal, but nothing from MH Direct.
I emailed them on Monday morning to get a confirmation that the parcel would be picked up that day. No reply. I tried their "instant communication service". No reply. In the evening, I placed an order with personalshippers and told MH courier to cancel my order and to refund me.
I got an email from them on the tuesday morning saying that I had to read their home page and fill in a form (no excuse, the customer is clearly wrong with them).
They have refused (to date) to refund me.
Even if there is a form to fill, they should:
1: make sure it's filled before taking the client's money
2: read/answer their emails (or "instant communication"!) they are sent
Personal shipper (more expensive at £11.22 incl. £100 insurance) was great: I placed my order on Monday before 10pm, the parcel was collected at 4pm on Tuesday, they called me on my mobile to check if if had been, and I got an automatic email tracking each step. Should be delivered today.
Feel free to believe I'm working for personalshipper, but if you get stung by MH Direct couriers, don't complain.
Note to MSE: I think there should be a warning or the link should be taken away, from my point of view it's a scam or a very understaffed operation.
If I do get a refund from MH Direct, I will let you know.

Thats strange how I been chatting to Ben from DSE today although via his Googlemail email

As they're looking at their strategy with the number of sales on eBay jumping to over 700 per day they will be back next week with a better system & more staff

It seems you're on good terms with DSE so maybe you can let me know why i am not getting any responses to my bookings today even though i booked 9 parcels yesterday and had them collected?

how did you give "I gave a collection and a delivery address" without filling in the 'form'?
