Well I booked through direct sales at 8.30 am this morning, and parcelforce collected at 10.50am - so far so good. I booked and then read rest of thread, panicked:eek: , and kept my fingers crossed!:D

I used Parcels2collect for a delivery to Southern Ireland - went very smoothly and I was very pleased. At £17.99 they saved me £35 on Royal Mail prices!

(Only just spotted this thread........sorry for the double post:o ).

Hi guys,
any ideas on which Courier company i could use to send a large (ish), not very heavy item to the USA.

The dimensions are L-43 x W-31 x H-25 cm (weight is 1.375kg).

The cheapest quote i've got so far is £37.19 from www.wedelivertheworld.co.uk

Any replies greatly appreciated.

98kg? surely 9.8?

not sure you mean 98kg though, that's the weight of a large man!

I like CATHYS1 booked three parcels using the DSE service yesterday evening. Panicked a little after reading through this thread. But this morning Parcelforce courier turned up. Thought he'd be taking all three but he only had receipts for two! Panicked a little more at that point! Anyway fired off an email to DSE who promptly replied back saying that the courier would be back in the afternoon. They also mailed me with the Tracking Number of the third parcel which was yet to be collected. A few mins ago, courier as promised turned up! No problems yet, items should arrive at their destinations tomorrow so will update you guys then...so far so good!

Booked a collection for delivery to France with Pharos via the MSE article and stayed in all afternoon for collection. It never came and I find that the deadline for collection is 5:30 and the Pharos office closes - 5:30. Convenient for them as I would be very, very cross if I could talk to someone.

It seems a case of pay peanuts and get monkeys.

Avoid unless you want to waste time. I'll come back with how honest they are about the refund.

Does anyone know how long Baloon & Gift take to email confirmation? I bought a delivery a few hours ago and filled in their form, but still no email yet. Maybe they just wait til business hours...

I got my confirmation very late last night... possibly after midnight...and I ordered during the afternoon. My parcel was collected today no problem.
