I had the misfortune yesterday to use their courier services online, with payment via paypal and despite promising a confirmation email with tracking number, this was never sent. Today, i was unable to access their website / telephone number is dead and an email to their info@directsalesltd.eu is completely bogus as it comes back with a 'host unknown' error message.
I would strongly advise anybody considering using their services in the future as they are cheap to refrain - that is so for a reason! I am on to Ebay where they were listed and Paypal who have made the transaction to inform and seek recompense.
Thats strange how I been chatting to Ben from DSE today although via his Googlemail email
As they're looking at their strategy with the number of sales on eBay jumping to over 700 per day they will be back next week with a better system & more staff0 -
I need to send a surfboard which is 215cm in length. Anyone know of a courier which will accept this. The width and depth is 60cm and the weight is negligible. to UK mainland0

Just put your postcode /town in and it will tell you the local apc courier in your area.
Then just ring them and they will arrange collection and quote you a price.
Usually about £10.50+vat.(that's what we charge for a parcel up to 20 kg on a next day b4 1600 at my depot).
They will except most parcels up to 50kg and up to 3 metres in length.
They do a pre. 7am (only if you request) 9 am, 10 am, 12noon, next day by 16:00 and Saturday deliveries.0 -

From my main post:
InterParcel
5% discount when registered
Extra Long Items upto 250cm; Quote for 10Kg: £9.490 -
I have just ordered a collection from Direct Sales. The booking page says I should receive a confirmation email from them within 5 hours - presumably once they have booked it with the courier.
I will post a followup if/when the delivery is completed.

:T Thank you for this I have had exactly the same experience, and lost both my item and my payment via paypal.
There should be more regulations to cover us its disguting, home-textiles, Direct Sales, they are all the same !!Annie_Bertorelli wrote: »
I'm afraid to relay i had the same experience! I placed an order yesterday with Direct Sales through Ebay and despite promises on their "website" to send a confirmation email with tracking number for parcel, this never arrived.
So, growing a little uneasy today I attempted to access their website with no success, no listings for their co. name were to be found on Ebay and the telephone customer service number is dead.
This is quite despicable and I am also taking up the dispute against them with Ebay / Paypal so more unsuspecting customers are not defrauded.
DO NOT USE THEM if they have the audacity to keep trying this scam on - you'll be very sorry and out of pocket, not to mention unpopular with the collection person as somebody will have to wait around for them all day for couriers that never ever show as they are completely bogus!0 -

 They are not paying for the service would be my guess ! leaving you with no protection and no delivered item.isayoldchap wrote: »Having used a few of the 'cheaper' couriers in the past and seen some horror stories on here,I am surprised they can charge so cheap.
How much do they pay themselves?
Are they cheaper because some are not charging VAT and staying within the threshold limits?Of course a plus VAT sale could be better for some businesses using them.
Could explain why some don't continue.
Loving the single posters.Still haven't worked out if they are opposing companies just plugging their site.0
