Hi i would like some help in finding a courier company that will deliver my item. the dimensions are 190x40x40 cm's and only weighs 7.5kg's most courier companys i have checked have a size restriction and im just outside of this.
Item is a pair of fiberglass side skirts for a car so its a long bit slim package.
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

Although it is outside most couriers maximum dimensions, try phoning them as they often accept items that are long and narrow.0 -

this rate is not too bad for 30 parcels a week. I have contacted City Link, they quoted us £6+VAT for sending 50 parcles a week, minimum invoice £50 each week, that means if we don't send any parcels in a week, we still need to pay £50. this is not fair.0 -
Hi to all MSEs out there - if anybody can help with this I will really  :j
Have looked everywhere, but am really struggling to find any courier who will cover the products I want to start selling in my latest money-making enterprise (candles) either when I receive the containers or when I start sending my finished goods out!! Even if the products are really well-packed, if the glassware gets damaged in transit I will lose out
So how do people send or receive these products?!! Please, any tips/ideas/help will be very much appreciated.

Forgot to mention, I have some very heavy deliveries of the above coming from North America, I am not so worried about breakages as I know the items will practically be individually wrapped in cotton wool! Just not sure how to organise parcels, I presume it would be better for it to come in fewer large containers (not container size but what word do you use for a very large parcel?
- by large I am talking poss. 150kg +) rather than in smaller parcels, but I have no knowledge whatsoever of any carriers from the US. I know the USPS are exorbitant but more than that I have no idea who to use.
Again, any help very much appreciated, thanks to all MSE fonts of knowledge0 -
Hope this wasnt just a fluke but having just sold an item and quoting £7 delivery and then, finding out DPD where closed I panicked a bit and had a shop round.
No one really used PF at a similar price and I wasnt going to use PPWex.
I set my mind on paying £11 and covering the extra cost and going to PF but after reading on here about pay per parcel I decided to give them ago. Ordered at around 1.30am thursday night, expecting DHL to arrive around 3pm-6pm Friday, was I shocked to find they turned up at 9.30am. :T
Oh and I like PPP format, very clear easy to use. As I said hope it wasnt just a fluke.0 -

To be honest I don't know. What value are we looking at?? Im fairly sure if you can get insurance to cover £1000 laptops etc, you'll be able to insure candles. Guess the melting issue is the main problem.
What sort of scale, ie. parcels a week? if its 50+ it might be worth getting the reps out and seeing what they say. Alternatively try phoning some of the booking agents: ppwe ARE helpful and Paul the director is knowledgeable and very approachable, I'm sure the rest must have people who know their stuff as well.
What I would say is (touch wood), in close to 1000 parcels with DHL we've never had to claim. What we sell isn't fragile by any means, but that includes loss as well.0
