Are there any other companies that use Parcelforce other than DPD?
I have a fair few ending today, all with my £7.50 PF24 charge !!!
Help... please!
Try these UK Courier Express
You can buy 10 prepaid 24hr parcels for £87.50 (24hrs) or 5 for £47.50
or 10 prepaid 1-2 days for £75 or 5 for £38.75
I've used their 1-2 day service a few times and the parcels have always arrived the next day so it might be worth taking a chance with the 1-2 dayI hope I never get so old I get religious...... Ingmar Bergman0 -
I think you should receive a tracking number after parcelfore received your booking (before driver come to pick up the parcels), Their system is different as DHL. This is what parcelfore driver told us. DPD used to send a tracking number to customer after booking. I guess they don't have enough technical staff to develop their booking system. So they don't have time to send tracking numbers to hundreds customers manually by email.
To be honest I prefer to use Parcelforce. Their insurance covered £150 max(this is good). We send just little parcels by DPD per week, because we are not confident to send a parcel without tracking number.
DPD don't even send emails to confirm bookings and they clearly state that they cannot provide tracking numbers.I hope I never get so old I get religious...... Ingmar Bergman0 -
Hi all, can anyone advise of a good courier where you can book online and not have to know the dimensions?
I usually "use send it now" but just looking for a cheaper option, with them I dont have to input a size I just bung 10kg in as standard (in reality most parcels are around 3kg or so but that doesnt matter). On all the other sites I have read on the thread they ask for sizes.
Thanks in advance

I always get the tracking numbers on the invoice from DPD. We have a credit account with them, they will send an invoice to us weekly.0 -
I have being using this company from its start, and i have put up with a lot because they were the cheapest and new but i had enough and mustspeak out
1. constant website problems meaning that parcels cannot be booked
2. couriers not turning up
3. being told lies that my parcels were insured when they were NOT
4. claims do not get processed
5. they dont return/reply to emails
6. if they do reply all you get is excuses
7. the price has stedily risen without warning
i will now be going back to interparcel.com0 -
The Price Increase is ridiculous
Over a pound increase per parcel with no warning whatsoever and all done in a 24 hour period.
No emails no nothing...
Yes fuel prices have gone up but the surcharge with dhl is actually 4-6%
Now 6% on what they probably pay to dhl approx £5 does not work out to a pound.
Around 2 weeks ago the price went from £5.95 to £6.45 and then two hours later it was £6.95
Thats two increases in one single day !
No prior warning, nothing at all, I certainly wont be using ppw anymore as this is not the way to do business.
They are using all the hype around the fuel prices to increase there profits.
Service is also poor -
Phones constantly engaged
Quote From the site -
'7 GREAT REASONS TO USE PPW'
Buy 30 prepaid deliveries and have 3 refunded!
Im yet to see a single one refunded Despite numerous emails / phone calls all ive had is broken promises,
Quick to sing there own praises --- fastest growing online parcel company - 20 years experience etc etc..
We as customers want a good efficient service and want delivered what is promised.
We are not interested in bragging and having mails telling us how important we are as customers
If we are so important then they should be delivering what they promise on there website -
I wouldnt advise anybody to buy 30 prepaid parcel bookings on the basis that you will have three of these deliveries refunded.... You will be waiting a long long time... ive waited over 2 months now and still not had anything back.0 -
Well reading these threads on this company I am glad that I am still using PayPerParcel. As their rates and professionalism are much better and I can get them on the phone or by email. (and no I do not work for them!)0

1. constant website problems meaning that parcels cannot be booked. constant?
2. couriers not turning up. We've had one failure in close to 300 bookings.
3. being told lies that my parcels were insured when they were NOT. Surely depends on what you're sending
4. claims do not get processed. claim(s) how many are you putting in?
5. they dont return/reply to emails. By in large they do
6. if they do reply all you get is excuses. Opposed to?
7. the price has stedily risen without warning. Yes. Though tbf it was bound to rise from £4.95
i will now be going back to interparcel.com. and pay £6.99 + vat
PPWExpress, aren't brilliant but they're not terrible, and I'd go as far as saying they're the best booking agents we've used by a mile. For starters their a new company, and have taken close to 20,000 bookings in 4/5 months. Lisa has now gone which is particularly good news. People complain of their prices, but unless your sending more than 20 a week you can't really complain as without companies like this you'd be paying around £20 a parcel if you went direct.
Their booking systems is better than interparcel's, in terms of cut-off anyway....12.30pm plays 11am I think.
You say you'll be using interparcel but the cheapest you can get that for is £8+ I think.
Very bizarre post, little substance, significant blabber and a hopeless marketing ploy.0 -
Has anyone actually enquired with DHL as to how much they would charge if you opened a business account, and sent 30 parcels per week?0
