Seems like a lot of hassle.
I go on average a couple of times a week and I agree it can be a hastle but on a quiet night and a good end of date stock flow it can be very rewarding and can be addictive and make you think twice about some of the full prices charged for some things.
I have bought lots of bargain things that I would not have normally picked up and TBH some I have never seen , and find it is a great way to try and see if you like at a very affordable price.
My favourite reductions other than food items are the flowers, they still last at least 2 weeks whether you have paid £5 or 20p which is an average end of day price , I often come back with over £20 worth and have paid under a £10 -
I worked in Sainsbury's and reducing the turkeys on Chrismas eve was a highlight of my career (!). We'd price them up out the back, put them on a trolley and walk out to the shopfloor. Hilarious watching the battles from a distance!0

this is how i feel sometimes, its like a battle, i do understand that people try and save money but people could use some politeness towards other shoppers and the staff0 -
...know what you mean about Poles! I was in Asda, got one joint of meat (as opposed to the ten plus which Polish "little darling" swept up and put in mum's trolley), and the little b*****d tried to take it out of my trolley!!! "Excuse me" didn't work but "Foxtrot Oscar" certainly did!0

I make a point of being as polite as possible to the staff doing the reductions at my local Tesco. I've shopped there since the day it opened and I've no intention of alienating anyone or making myself unpopular. On the other hand I like a bargain as much as the next person and money is tight so I do make a point of going there one evening per week at reduction time to top up the freezer. Some days it's great, some not. But bottom line for me anyway is that it's not worth making a prat of yourself over a 10p pack of chopped onions, like one customer I could mention.Val.0

after a disapointing Sainsbury home delivery last night [ I had a £15 off first shop emailed that needed using and I choose to use the necessary spend on half price deals and most used regular items, unfortunately a few of the deals were out of stock] but I made up for it this evening
£20 fresh turkey crown for £5 , 2 x£4 bunches of lilies for 20p , 2 x2.5kg pots for 20p each, £7 pack of Wiltshire ham for 50p, several trays of 2 for £7 chicken breast slices etc for 50p each, other deli packs of turkey breast and Wiltshire sliced ham for 10p each , pots of leek and potato soup 5p each, mini yum yum's 10p, french sticks still warm 10p each, pack of lemons, cabbage and swede 5p each , £1.58 grated cheese packs dated till christmas 50p each, 2 x fillet steak 50p each
no rushing, pushing, shoving or grabbing, there were not many people in store despite it being Fridaydoesnt happen like this often but feels very good when it does
while on the bargain run Sainsburys rang and asked how we got on with our first delivery from them, OH said the driver was super and very polite but unfortunately I was not here to comment as I had to go and finish my shopping elsewhere as they had failed on many items, I said you should have told the truth and explained I didnt get and missed not getting my 10p bargains0 -

usually between half six and eight, have a slow ramble round getting normal shopping and collect from each reduced bit as it has been done or is being done but as previously said it really was very quiet tonight so not too many people looking out for the bargains0 -
Just got a pack of 4 avocados for 10p and a fresh punnet of raspberries for 50p. Love it.0
