I missed the moon/Jupiter combo, but I did see a neighbour this morning when I went for a walk. Will that do?

Forgot to post yesterday, I was meant to go swimming first thing but was awake for half the night so I cancelled. I worked for a few hours, first shift at my new part-time job. Needed a small top up shop and petrol so spends there. Spent the rest of the day doing odd jobs around the house.
Today I woke up early for a horse ride but my back wasn't great so I kept it short. Planned to wash the car but decided to pay for it instead as I knew it would make my back worse. Came home after that and did some yoga. Cooked some bits for lunches for OH and I and have also baked some brownies. Have done most of my chores so most of the rest of the day will be spent relaxing!10 -
Did you say 'By Jove!! Is it really you?', was he/she carrying a lightning bolt?Scored another day of work at the end of this month - lots of travel but it is all £'s... and helping out a friend worried about travelling alone on public transport at night across London. What can I say, I am obviously a human rottweiler/doberman cross.Processed more of the last month's scrumped apples, some baked, some in a crumble - I think I only have about an 8 person crumble's worth of apples left... the kids love picking them, but it all turns a bit 'Little Red Hen' when it comes to helping with cooking the blighters. Made 3 fantastic pizzas and got rid of all the ends of ys bargains in the fridge as toppings, and the last of the jar of olives, languishing forgotten, and despairing, behind a lonely grapefruit.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Still on NSD 2.Grateful this weekend for DS having good fun at classmate’s birthday party, for being able to attend the party and seeing the wee ones have the time of their lives, for chat with other parents , for a break in the rain which allowed OH and I to tidy up the garden for the winter, for thermals and waterproofs at today’s very soggy football match, for OH making pizza for dinner, and for the relaxing feeling I get from listening and watching the rain (as long as I am warm and dry 😁).NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸9

Didn't sleep well at all, my head felt like it was going to explode. Was awake at 3am, wondering if I had covid again. Was it better to test with the possibility of having to cancel our onwards journey to England, or not test & risk making folk poorly?! So I tested, & guess what? I've got it again. Was thinking I'd have to book the hotel for an extra night to come home by boat Tues, instead of Thurs, then remembered there was a boat home tonight. Managed to get a cabin thankfully, so I can feel ill in private.
So whilst we're gutted to not be seeing our family, we are pleased to be going home!
Have lost money on the buses I'd booked tomorrow instead of the train (think I can get a trip a different day, but don't think it'll happen before the voucher runs out, same with the train) & because I'd booked the cheaper option with the hotel, no refunds with leaving a day earlier, though the receptionist said she'd try her best. Have to remember that my health is more important, & at least I'm not suffering away from home.
Spent the day from a distance & masked up, with my brother, etc. Me & mum are now in our cabin, watching films on TV.
Grateful to be going home, that we've got a cabin in the middle of the boat, so it's not so rough, for paracetamolUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!

Evening Turtles. A bit of a busy weekend here. Made a 100 mile round trip to collect DD’s new rescue cat. 2 traffic jams and an air ambulance later we finally made it. As OH was just about to put the carrier in the car, the cat escaped and ran off down the road. After knocking on several doors, found it in some bushes in a garden. It then spent the whole journey home alternately miaowing loudly and trying to escape again. Obviously didn’t realise it was being rescued.
Made a cake yesterday, the whole thing disappeared in the night, never sure whether to be cross or flattered. Made my weekly list of jobs and dinners and managed to find another £100 to put into premium bonds, so my whole weekend wasn’t a waste.
Today I am grateful for a beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky! Getting washing dry on the line and OH managing to do a bit of diy for my Dad without cutting himself or getting a splinter for a change.9 -
Oh no! @Thrifty_Taylor at least you got your hospital tests all done, and you saw your DB and his family. The rates are on the rise again, and the under 50s are not being offered the booster unless you live with someone vulnerable or you are a carer. I don't think you can even have the booster if you have been C+ in the 3 months previously. Hope it is a mild dose you have contracted and that you, your Mum, and your family are all ok. It will be a year this half term since we all got it and the in-laws fled to the south east coast - it does not seem that long ago but an awful lot has gone on in those 12 months. My DH still has lingering symptoms and is 'not right' yet. Good luck with the refunds, a voucher is better than nothing.Congratulations on the new furry family member @firsview , Stockholm syndrome will set in soon I am sure. Cupboard Love is a powerful force.

I did a test yesterday but it was negative - so not COVID, just normal winter bugs. So given that it might carry on like this until March, I've made a start today. Mask, hose and filter washed, hair as well as a shower, seeds and sauces packed in small boxes (currently on the landing), the heavy wool quilt has been hanging over the windowsill all day to freshen up, many many bags of rubbish and recycling filled, bed cleared.
Went downstairs to eat, bin bags out including picking up bits from all around the kitchen and rearranging the actual bins and weighing stuff down with bricks so that there will be room for more bags. Cans out including collecting some from round the garden and the tins I'd left to rinse, another trip later with the second lot I'd set to rinse plus some bits found amongst the pots. Two more trips across the kitchen to finish emptying the DW then carefully reloaded it including as many cooking knives and pieces of cutlery as I could find. Couldn't get it to go (it's old and you have to hold it shut until it 'goes') so I left a note asking them to do it. WM also had an error message - later got it to open and it's half full of water. Set it on drain and spin - if that doesn't work will have to release the filter at the bottom (it was too dark and couldn't see which bit I had to pull).
Cleared my bed, attempted to get rid of some of the stains (fumble fingers plus coughing and sneezing fits - lots of spills), turned the mattress, realigned the base and mattress (closed the gap between the bed and the drawers - wasn't big enough to fall off the bed but quite big enough to slip into and get trapped). pulled the mattress cover into place and dragged the cover back inside. Chopped up a cauliflower, folded a tarpaulin and brought a huge pile of clean sheets and pillowcases upstairs.
Grateful for getting things done, for lots of rest/ breaks and for an entertaining serial.9
