Absolutely you get yourself a takeaway for tonight @Toni'sfriend . Turtle Dispensation granted
. It is why we have insurance, we bet disaster will happen, they bet it will not. They usually win, but not this time. Maybe it is the 'reset' button DH needs to start believing the 'no more tat in the freezer' rule. Be strict with him.

Absolutely, f0xh0les. He is now under strict supervision. Even he has admitted that he might have to think again about his obsession with picking up bargains when we don't really need them. Quite honestly I'm glad to see the back of some of the things he had in there. At least, we have the money to go out and buy a new freezer without worrying about where the money was going to come from. There was a time it would have been a major problem. So glad I found this forum and I started being sensible. Better late than never!Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.13

Today I am grateful for bumping into a friend at the gym, for dc winning their bouldering competition category 🎉🎉🎉, for scoring such a fab liddle box I gave a lot away to a neighbour, for getting fuel 12p cheaper per litre than the places right near us, for finding a selection of daffs - I want a daffodil corner/lawn and will plant them under a patch of grass out front. My sprouting basil and rosemary rootlets have made me think that I can plant them up and give them as presents...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!11

A very early start to the day, after waking lots in the night. Was awake before 6am, then showered & out the house for 6.50. Me & my brother headed down to the boat to collect my mum & DS1, then brother took mum's bag back to the hotel, while we went for breakfast at the yellow M food place. Nipped in a shop, then took mum to the hotel. Me & DS1 went a walk to the beach, the sun came out & at one point we were in t-shirt sleeves! Watched a helicopter airlift a crewman off an inflatable boat for a lifeboat practice. I'd never been to that area before, so enjoyed looking at the scenery. Had a good heart to heart with DS, he said he always took for granted how he was brought up, thinking everyone else's family life was the same, but now realises it's not & appreciates it. ❤️ Made my heart sing!
Discovered that mine & mum's train will definitely not be running on Monday, so have had to book a bus instead 😔 at least we'll still get there.
Saw DS off in his bus (his first time exploring a big city on his own), then spent most of the afternoon with mum, brother & his family. Had a couple of hours before tea in our room then before tea, so managed to do some knitting. Had a long soak after tea, will steam this potential cold out if me if I can!
Grateful for DS's words, that he's arrived safely at his destination, sunny views at the beachUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Okay Turtles, we are all going to be spacemen now, look out of your window, or stand outside and look at the moon, just above the moon is a bright bright light, and that is the planet of Jupiter, the closest it is going to be for a hundred years, and visible to the naked eye. Not just wishing on a star tonight folks, wishing on a planet, by Jove!!

Hello lovely turtles
I am still on NSD 2.
Bf and I went to a lovely wedding on Friday night at a ranch just outside of Madrid. it was beautiful and the food was really good too. I drank minimal alcohol so was fine the next day to potter around the house doing jobs while bf suffered with his hangover, although we got home at 5am.
Yesterday I baked quinoa, spinach and parmesan bites for my work lunchbox for the week and we also had pizza from the supermarket instead of ordering a take away. Might go out for a coffee and a cake today but quite a cheap weekend overall. (there was a free bar at the wedding although we still need to buy the bride and groom a present)
outside - will drag bf out for a walk today. the weather has been beautiful this week and I hope it lasts
inside - will sort out the winter wardrobe today
food- meal plan is done for the coming week, we have huge quantities of bf’s dhal frozen and did a top up shop yesterday so have plenty of f&v.
read - I will keep up reading before bed
plan - I am planning for family holiday to Mallorca in 2 weeks. My mum and sisters will be coming to Madrid first and then we will travel together. I have written a packing list and will write a shopping list for the hairb&B so we can make it as MSE as possible.
I also booked my c-word flights home this week.
Grateful for meeting loads of nice people at the wedding, for enjoying the booze and not over-indulging, for getting rubbish jobs out of the way yest so I can enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Have a great sunday xx

One of the things that I like about the place we go on holiday is it's so dark and quiet at night. Fields on two sides and the north sea on another, The village is so small there is hardly any light pollution so the night sky is the most amazing sight of bright stars. Unfortunately the city isn't the same. Too many lights but I still like to look at the night sky from my bedroom window on a clear night. Although it's not very noisy where I live I had difficulty sleeping night because I was aware of traffic and people passing by.
The Chinese take away was lovely and one dish was enough for both of us as the portions are very generous. Thanks for the dispensation, f0xh0les. It was a little bit of a treat as we very, very rarely have a take away
So, back to normality. I have lots to do today, this week and further into this month so I have to make a list. I'm looking on yesterday's disaster as an opportunity to get things really organised, do the things that need done in the house and have a really good clear out despite Himself's objections. Himself needs a bit of organising as well. He just doesn't know it yet.
So a cup of coffee or two and I'll get started on that list.

It is an opportunity to get a fridge freezer the right size for your needs, and as environmentally friendly as possible to reduce your bills.I have folded the laundry mountain, put another load on the line, and plan to eat one of my scones with a lovely cup of coffee at 11am. Made a menu plan for the next 5 days, and a minimalist shopping list to fill in the gaps. For some bizarre reason I am fighting buying a box of mice pies - even Gr0ggs have theirs in already. We have started getting them in to the foodbank too. I am keeping my resolve, no mice pies until December in my house! And who decided they are not sweet enough and need a layer of icing on top? That is frankly weird...but I am strangely intrigued.. Resist!! resist!!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Update for yesterday:
Outside - We had a lovely lunch in the sunshine in Caernarfon on the square with lovely views of the castle and marina. Later on we put our wetsuits on and ran into the sea! Freezing but refreshing. We then explored a lot of big rock pools. Warmed up in the hot tub. Fabulous day and one I will always remember and treasure. Saw Jupiter and a wonderful moon in the evening.
Inside - Cosy evening watching a family dvd.
Fun - Had lots and filled my happy bucket.
Food / alcohol - Lovely lunch out, chippy tea and a few alcoholic drinks.
Read - Bought some magazines (££££ I know)! Not read them yet.
Plan for December - Nothing here.
NSD - Noooo spent money on parking, magazines, lunch & a lotto ticket. Will reign it in now.
MSE - My Monzo account & 2 dds are now set up. Wanted to switch to NW but think it would be safer to wait until we are home and not be away on public WiFi.
Gratitude - My family and time with them.
