Mine was working perfectly for a couple of weeks, then one morning lost connection with my smart meter one morning and when I moved it and got it reconnected I could see data from 'Last 5/30 Minutes' ok, but since then I've never been able to see any recent data in the Day tab any more (I'm sure I had this originally).
I had the same happen, then the 'day' info returned around the same time as the Octopus app (Android) received an update (so may have been a bug fix).

For me, after a week, it just doesn't work for gas. Electricity is fine. Does anyone get anything more for gas than we've always got from the app?

If you are looking for instantaneous usage similar to electricity then the answer is no. The mini can only report what the meters report, and the gas meter was never designed to show instantaneous flow as it only reports back every 30 minutes to preserve battery life.

Other than looking at my bills, the only thing I used to look at occasionally on Octopus, is under Meter Reading History -> Usage, to check that they're getting daily reads for my tracker tariff billing.

That shows gas usage in m3, whereas the graph (now) shows it kwh, which is easier on my brain.

I don't know if there used to be a graph in kwh, as I'd normally just look at Bright.

So no, there's probably no advantage to having the gas readings from the mini.

Surely if it's every 30 minutes we should expect it showing in the app every 30 minutes but it doesn't show for a couple of days for me.

My question is does anyone get better from it for gas than that? In the app it says to look at the 'day' graph. Does that show anything for anybody?

I don't have an Octopus Home mini but my regular IHD gives me 30-minute gas data. Does yours, if you have one?

I managed to set up my new Home Mini yesterday.
I can see ‘Live’ Electricity usage for the last 5 or 30 minutes, but as I’ve no intention of staring at the app constantly, I’m not sure how useful I’ll find that function😏
No Gas usage for 15 minutes hot water @07.30 this morning showing yet.
I think I must be missing something but so far, I’m underwhelmed😊

I can see yesterday's gas usage from around noon, at 1520 today. (May have appeared earlier but I didn't look.)

Can see today's electric usage from 1300-1400* (at 1520 still), but not the gas I used just before it.

I thought I'd had the oven on later than that by an hour, so does it report times in GMT? It's easy to baffle me!

My timings are all BST and I can see data in the day tab up to the most recently completed half hour.
