Provided you have a laptop with Wifi and Bluetooth you could install Bluestacks, run an Android emulation and do it via that?0

Got a BLE dongle for my desktop (don't have a laptop), but the darned thing doesn't work with Linux. Having way too much on my plate at the moment, setting emulation, JTAG debuggers, and other tools means I'll have to stick the mini on the CBA list.MattMattMattUK said:Provided you have a laptop with Wifi and Bluetooth you could install Bluestacks, run an Android emulation and do it via that?
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -
Yes you're probably not a good candidate for one then. It's really geared up to work well for those of us who want to try to keep our use (and so our bills) as low as possible. It can have its uses on a conventional tariff for those who fit that mould, but I can see it will definitely come into its own if we end up switching back to a TOU tariff in the future.subjecttocontract said:

Essentially you'll have a better IHD available within your app, that will enable you to see live usage and up to date usage over time.subjecttocontract said:It looks like I'm missing the point as I have absolutely no idea what this device will do for me. Can anyone tell me ?
I don't use apps, don't have a smart mobile phone and I dont need live data.

I guess it's ok for people that like gadgets to play with but it's likely to be wasted on me.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

They sent us one out but there is no point for us to use it anyway, we are a high usage house. But there are things we can not limit the use off like a massive garden pond with big filter and aerator constantly needs to be on plus i charge my car but tbh thats negligible cost because its leaps and bounds cheaper than paying for petrol0

Got a JTAG<->USB lead around here somewhere, so I might plug it in and go rooting around inside. If you do have a furtle about, I'd be interested to hear what you find.I studied digital electronics in the late 80s but (as you might imagine) few of the practical skills have much application these days, and a lot of the modern stuff seems more like magic 😄
