GEUK newbie customers - What are you doing?

I've got the email too.
So, they are reducing the tariff down to the EPG. But it looks like the EPG rates are only guaranteed until 31st December 2021?0 -
It also looks like the standing charges are slightly higher than the EPG too. Only by a couple of pence, but higher.0

Is it worth switching? Probably not, would be happy to pay a quid or two more given the green credentials of GEUK.What_time_is_it said:It also looks like the standing charges are slightly higher than the EPG too. Only by a couple of pence, but higher.1 -
Rates just come through & feeling quite pleased, E7 rates of 44.84p s/c , 35.33p day & 23.44p night.

bear in mind the rates vary by region - some will be higher than the "average" used as an illustration, some will be lower.What_time_is_it said:It also looks like the standing charges are slightly higher than the EPG too. Only by a couple of pence, but higher.2 -

They have been slow replying to my emails, but I have got replies.
I think the other two issues are linked. If the changeover reading hasn't been sent then the reading at changeover has not been agreed and so the starting point for bills from GEUK is not known. So they can't issue a bill.
I'm in the same situation. I did discover a week ago that my changeover reading had not been sent, and they promised to send it along. Don't know if they have done so.Good to hear someone else is having issues with them not doing the absolute basics. I was worried I was going to be accused of making it up, others do seem happy with them.Currently my previous supplier owes me £100-odd that they can't pay me, but I must owe GEUK more than this by now. So my best option is to do nothing and take advantage of their interest-free loan. I'm getting a whopping (!) 1.55% savings interest on this money at the moment, so I might have made enough for a few tins of soup by the time they work things out.It would not take many customers to be in our position to cause them cashflow issues, presumably they'll have to pay someone else the wholesale rates for whatever energy I'm using, or perhaps they don't if they never bill it.I'll stick with them for ever if this is the deal. I look forward to taking my debt of £1000s to the grave.0 -
Had my email also. Electric will be 35.98p with a standing change of 47.58p, gas will be 10.34p with a standing charge of 31.31p. Is that as expected?

Your standing charge shouldn't have changed from your current fix rate.What_time_is_it said:It also looks like the standing charges are slightly higher than the EPG too. Only by a couple of pence, but higher.
In my case it is 1.02p cheaper than the EPG for my region.

I was expecting my Gas standing charge to reduce to 28.49p in line with the Energy Price Guarantee.
Does anyone know why the Gas standing charge hasn’t been reduced?0
