GEUK newbie customers - What are you doing?

GEUK request that you to give them your monthly meter readings by the end of the month so I suggest that you send them one on 30th September. Your bill will be produced within 7 days or so and your direct debit will be taken around the 15th of October after applying the £66/67 discount.wittynamegoeshere said:The one thing I am doing is ensuring I supply a meter reading on 1st October. Then if/when they (or their future receivers) actually manage to produce a bill then I will only pay the new price for the consumption beyond 1st October. I'm taking a screenshot of their website as evidence.
I very much doubt GEUK will go into administration.2 -
I don't think that the £66 discount will apply on the next bill. I think they will only apply this to energy used in the period October to March, so the first discount will be on the bill dated 15th November.The_Green_Hornet said:

Could be wrong, but that's my reading of it.
Spot on with the dates on the readings though - last 3 days of the month to ensure an accurate monthly bill.0 -
Thanks for asking, and yes, really....plenty of people panicking about still not being able to afford to use heating to a sensible level, but about the changes to tariff rates, no. I've seen concern, I've seen curiosity, and I've seen interest, but panic, no. I HAVE seen people trying to troll others into feeling like their worries are irrelevant though - which is pretty unkind and unnecessary at a time when people are worried about cost of living generally...The_Green_Hornet said:

The Good Energy tariff quoted on that thread is their Standard Variable Tariff.Deleted_User said:Interesting new post regarding Good Energy on another thread - a supplier in a similar cap-exempt position - where the posted rates are way above EPG.
People on here with GEUK are on a fixed tariff and GEUK have already stated that they will be applying the EPG. (https://www.greenenergyuk.com/energy_price_guarantee)

wittynamegoeshere said:I've not received an email from GEUK, but that doesn't surprise me from a company that doesn't reply to emails and hasn't managed to send a single bill for the two months I've been with them, and also hasn't sent the changeover reading to my previous supplier.I'll stay with them for ever if they don't want any money from me.
They have been slow replying to my emails, but I have got replies.
I think the other two issues are linked. If the changeover reading hasn't been sent then the reading at changeover has not been agreed and so the starting point for bills from GEUK is not known. So they can't issue a bill.
I'm in the same situation. I did discover a week ago that my changeover reading had not been sent, and they promised to send it along. Don't know if they have done so.1 -
Just received an e-mail from GEUK with the new rates. Happy days!1

Hopefully you should just have received an e-mail from GEUK with new rates.What_time_is_it said:
Thank you... I think.
Fingers crossed they tell you by Friday.I'm planning to call them on Friday if I don't hear from them by then.
It's not too much to ask for them to tell their customers what their prices are before they start charging them is it?0 -
Me too.The_Green_Hornet said:Just received an e-mail from GEUK with the new rates. Happy days!

Oh no! Another thread of speculation that might get actual details. That's no good, we'll have nowhere left soon.1

There still appears to be plenty of mileage with Octopus and their tracker rates.Deleted_User said:Oh no! Another thread of speculation that might get actual details. That's no good, we'll have nowhere left soon.

Be kind though otherwise you will be accused of being a troll.0
