Yesterday my IHD completely lost the electricity costs and tariff rates and left only the gas costs with the old unit rates.
I phoned GEUK this morning and they said that they are trying to fix the gas tariff and that’s why the electricity has disappeared and to phone them in a week if it hasn’t corrected. :smirk:
GE updated my smart meter and IHD gas unit rates today; they are all showing correctly now. for gas and electric.

Hopefully your gas rates will update overnight Mexicano.
  • I am on the Tide tariff fixed until April 2023. Does anyone have the Tide rates for October 2022 so that I can at least have some idea what my increase will be when fixed tariff ends? Any regional area would do but Yorkshire would be perfect. Thanks in advance.

Does the link here: https://www.greenenergyuk.com/tideinfo enable you to simply get a quote so you can see the charges?

No, it doesn't, I just looked. I would also like to know.

When I joined GEUK I said I wanted to be on Tide. They had to put me on Sparkling because I did not have a smart meter.

I have just had a smart meter installed. I don't know if they will put me on Tide automatically, or if they will ask me to confirm which tariff I want.

  • Extremely quick. Also extremely helpful in my experience.

  • I have received a letter today which states that the energy price guarantee rates are as follows: Low tide: 7.497p High tide: 32.55p  All other times:18.407p with a standing charge of 32.89p per day. These rates are exactly the same as my fixed rates so I am a bit confused.

Looks as though you got onto Tide tariff when prices were low. They are lower than the price cap, so no change.

Those prices are less than my Sparkling Tariff and a lot less than the Tide tariff I as quoted. My quoted Tide tariff (as offered before price cap) has 70p or so at High Tide
  • I was lucky and got an 18 month fixed contract in September last year when I had batteries fitted. My bill for the last 12 months was just under £500. If you use the tide tariff to it's best advantage and have batteries it is great.
  • Hey Guys,

So i have recently switched to Octopus from GEUK.  After watching the Martin Lewis Show last night, i am back and forth (again) in what to do. As it appears the EPG is only until April 2023, So now the issue is does my GEUK Fix look better now lol.  If i was to switch back in my cooling off period would i be put back on to my Sparkling V6 Fixed 2023, as i left or will i just be a variable EPG tariff with GEUK?
