But isnt the EPG Until October 2024, so you would be getting these rates until then anyway, past the current sparkling v6 tariff term of 2023?EssexHebridean said:Because for some, knowing that they still have the security of the fix in place in the eventuality that the EPG is pulled is worth losing the relatively small amount of saving that's possible.
The decision is easier for someone like me - where a significant saving was possible by switching - but for someone fitting a more "usual" use profile it's not quite so clear-cut.0 -
The EPG is planned to last for 2 years. It’s up to you if you think the government is going to stick with it at exactly this price for that long, or whether they will change something.jefferson89 said:

I am pleased that whenever I phone GEUK (have had to a few times, which isn't a good thing) I get through to someone quickly. Customer service is important.0

I agree with you in this, but phoning.all the time is just not always the best especially during work ours, so I like to send an email and happily wait a couple.days for response, also to have things in writing. But they do severely lack in this departmentdanco said:I am pleased that whenever I phone GEUK (have had to a few times, which isn't a good thing) I get through to someone quickly. Plus for some of us the "green" is worth something.EssexHebridean said:Because for some, knowing that they still have the security of the fix in place in the eventuality that the EPG is pulled is worth losing the relatively small amount of saving that's possible.1 -
I was delighted to be with one of the properly green providers - but I can't justify paying more than double the price per unit for my off peak electricity I'm afraid. I think the phrase my Nan would've used was "fine words butter no parsnips"!BUFF said:

In your case on E7 tariff it's understandable (even if you are having to deal with EDF). But for a few pence a day I will happily bask in the glow of my greenness.EssexHebridean said:

Green is important to me, plus I have always found them to be responsive and helpful if I have contacted them for anything. Both of these are worth paying a tiny amount more for as far as I’m concerned
