I had to speak to them at the beginning of the switch and I got through on the phone easily, and all questions were answered.
I will be staying with GEUK for sure.0 -

I'm in the interesting position in that I am with GEUK for electricity and EDF for gas. Interesting in that EDF gets so much bad press on the forums here.
My experience with both for billing has been similar in that:
a) On submitting meter reads on 30th September they didn't show on either account until a few days afterwards. EDF first and then GEUK, although GEUK did acknowledge the submission by e-mail where EDF didn't.
b) Both suppliers produced my monthly bill within a week of the meter submission. Again EDF was first followed by GEUK a few days later. Both bills were accurate although I do find the layout of the GEUK bill is better.
I will be staying with both suppliers for now.1 -

I thought we were going to get the £66 reduction starting with the October bill. It seems its the bill date rather than the billing month. In other words, the £66 deducted from the September usage.0

Right - decision made here tonight, we have messaged EDF to instruct them to cancel our switch under the cooling off period. They’ve made no attempt to instigate it at all, and have cut me off no fewer than three times today whenI’ve tried to find out what’s going on with it, so I’m taking it that they are being deliberately obstructive. Ofgem have given me there direct number for their consumer feedback department and have advised me to report EDF there, and I’ll be doing that next week.My hope is that we’ll be able to make a switch to Octopus next week - and if they will take up we’ll switch the gas there as well.Something that may be of interest to other GE customers is that when I called them earlier I was offered the option to switch the tariff with slightly different rates:
SC 39.2p
Day: 41.63p kWh
night: 22.21p kWh
For us it still doesn’t work out competitive, but for others it may do. Those rates apply to the Eastern Area, for information.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Yesterday my IHD completely lost the electricity costs and tariff rates and left only the gas costs with the old unit rates.I phoned GEUK this morning and they said that they are trying to fix the gas tariff and that’s why the electricity has disappeared and to phone them in a week if it hasn’t corrected.1
