Did you miss the fact we are nearly there? Government regulation and a fair regime is coming in 2024.
If I receive any court letters, Will update the thread.
Thanks for the help 👍🏾👍🏾But you will come back and take part in the final Government Public Consultation to push the statutory Code of Practice over the line, we hope?
You rightly want the Govt to step in, well they are about to ask what you (and we) think!
Don't miss it... come back here when it is anticipated (end of July/August). You have ONE chance to help change the law.Read, bookmark and set email alerts for new posts on the 2022 replies in the top sticky thread by MSE_JC.
Do that now, please.
We will tell everyone there when the Public Consultation opens.1 -
I'm sorry, but have you no sense of privacy and how very dangerous it can be to post your private detail on a public forum. You have shown us every detail of your name, address, claim number, MCOL password, VRM and so on in those photos.
I've reported it but in the meantime anyone with malicious intent can play havoc with your defence and more importantly, have enough information to begin to steal your identity.1 -
Why on earth have you just posted on a public forum enough information that anyone - anyone who perhaps doesn't have your best interests at heart - can file a rubbish Defence on your behalf?
You have shown the world your full name, your full address, your vehicle's registration mark, your Claim Number and your MCOL password.
Do you have no privacy concerns?
I have reported your post to MSE Forum Team but they don't work weekends so that information will remain available to everyone until Monday.
The good news is that those Particulars of Claim are totally inadequate.
Particularly this bit...
So it is alleged that the driver 'breached the terms on the signs (the contract)'.
And that allegation is then explained in great depth repeated - 'Reason: Vehicle Remained On Private Property In Breach Of The Prominently Displayed Terms And Conditions'.
[a rhetorical question: why does every word in that last sentence start with a capital letter?]Nowhere in those Particulars is there any explanation of what the driver is alleged to have done wrong.
This will be an easy win.1 -
In short, yes, they are taking you to court. Please go and read the second post of the Newbies/FAQ thread for the precise steps you need to do to successfully defeat this claim.1

With a Claim Issue Date of 28th May, you have until Monday 17th June to file an Acknowledgment of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 1st July 2024 to file your Defence. That's four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.1 -
Apologies, I have removed the comment now and uploaded it again with the details redacted! It was a very big mistake from my side.

Can someone help me with this please?
Brief:
My partner and I stayed in an hotel 2 years ago. When I booked it, I thought the parking was included in the price!!! Clearly wasn't. At the hotel, the receptionist didnt say anything about paying for parking either! Since then, I moved home so they werent able to find me and then also changed car. Anyways, 2 years later the people working for parking eye managed to find me and this is what I get. Since I stayed for 2 nights, they issued me 2 parking tickets of 150 pounds each. What can I do please? How can I fight this?0 -

There's still a VRM showing on the POC.1

Here's a redacted version:It doesn't even say where the hotel is, let alone what the driver is said to have done wrong.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
