    Hello everybody,

I've been babysitting most of the day today. I also got a few things done like vacuming, washing, ironing & baking as tomorrow the power goes off. I got some sad news from Scotland this morning. One of my relations who had breast cancer died this morning. So it must have been your yesterday. She was ill when we were there and I didn't think she'd last out the year. Sad time of year for all her family I'm sure.

It's turned a bit cooler here atm with rain around. I had a little Ninny nap with DGS this afternoon. The heat has been knocking us all around. Your freezing temps sound nice :D for a short time.

Haribo The gingerbread house turned out well. I also had a look at the other photo's and I lovvvvvvvve the donkey with antlers. :D

:santa2:Mrs Mix & hope all goes well at the hospital.
Jordylass Nice to hear from you again.

Well off to have a surf & a shower. Hope you all have a nice day. Byeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Morning all, have had a quick skim of the thread but will try and spend longer on it later.

Pam - good luck with the vampire lady!

Bit late on here today. After the busiest weekend we've had for ages, last night I got a phone call from DS2 and his GF asking if I'd take their gorgeous little cat to the vets. He was booked in to be - I can barely bring myself to say it, de-'manned' at 8.15 this morning! GF was going to take him on her way to work but she had to get to work early for an important meeting so they asked if I would take him. They had not been told not to feed him after 6pm last night and he was having breakfast when I got there! Luckily, he was more interested in me than his food, so he only had a couple of mouthfuls, but I had to wait for the vet to give the OK. Anyway, he's last on the operating list today. I just hope he forgives his 'Nan'! Hopefully, he'll forget all about it. I had covered my windscreen as soon as it started to freeze last night so I didn't have to scrape it before leaving this morning. Anyway, I'm glad I was able to help.

On Saturday, we put the tree up but that involved practically every other room in the house and now it looks like a tip. We were going to straighten it all up yesterday but, because we had to visit B&Q for a new loo seat, we also called in PC World nearby and DH bought me a fax/scanner/printer/photocopier to replace my basic printer. We fax a lot of things and it costs a couple of quid each time these days so this should save in the long run plus it should give us better quality photos. Anyway, we installed that last night and that involved another turn around in the office and a hole drilled into a wall for cables, etc., and we had to miss Cranford! We've recorded it so will catch up with it tonight, I hope.

I'm just glad that I've got the house to myself now and will get stuck in to re-organising it this morning. I can't wait to get straight again. I still haven't finished all the wrapping up - it's all spread out on the bed my Mum will be sleeping in over Christmas so I must get it done. Plus, I had a rotten night's sleep -but that was just my mind not switching off. I am so glad we're having left-over stew for dinner tonight - I don't have to think about meal-prepping.

Well, I'm off now to get some proper housew**k done - see you all later.

Good morning everyone. I have been on MSE for a couple of months or so and I am still finding new threads I never knew existed!!! This is one of them. Where to begin...
Had good weekend, got up this morning-late. Good job OH works for himself. DD1 ill in the night and is not at school today, she got back into my bed just before we left for work. There had been an accident/incident and we had to do a detour so we arrived even later!!!!
Loads to do, still got all presents to wrap and cards to write and possibly still got to buy more presents too!!! How I wish I was organised!!! Managed to make my christmas cake yesterday-finally, even though we had 2 lots of visitors and went out for a meal last night!!!
