Not sure how another week has gone by. Last night I was in bed by 11pm and fell asleep quickly for once. Still struggling with my mental health generally starting to wonder if it will actually right itself entirely that coupled with all the bad news I’m reading can leave me quite miserable so it’s been nice to get the sleep although I’m still quite rundown. Want to try to get out for a walk over this weekend and apart from a bit of work and Sunday lunch out we have no plans. Probably should try to do something this month with one of our weekends tbf.3

What about a day trip to the coast?
Doesn't have to be expensive and your son and the dog will love it on the beach.3 -
'Doom-scrolling' I think it's called @alt80. I'm guilty of it myself; hopping between news websites. 'The News' is rarely good but it doesn't reflect anything like full reality, I find. What helps me is focusing on what I can control and living in the moment. Difficult but you have done brilliantly on this. What helps you to get there and stay there? Do that and it will make all 3 of you happy. Love Humdinger xx2

Absolutely whacked again this weekend so not done a lot bit of work and a walk about the extent of it. No gym or anything else healthy. Not even spent £50 so at least it’s cost very little.
@lucielle I’ve got quite a list of things I want to do business wise so not planning any time away until Easter time.
@RelievedSheff they’d all love that, thanks for the suggestion will have a look at the weather over the next few weekends.
@Humdinger1 100% agree re news not reflecting full reality, I know this but can’t stop looking at it. Always have read the news but recently it’s all so !!!!!! negative. Tbh when I focus on what I can control I hardly leave the office which isn’t great for me or my family. Have been trying to work on it but really finding it difficult rn. Need to get back to all the recovery stuff I’ve been taught - it’s good for life in general not just for staying off the substances.2 -
Ahead with finances for this month. About the only thing I’m managing from my targets though. Not eating particularly well, hardly any exercise and can’t switch off from work had another session on that this evening. Idk need to get back to living in a more healthy way.1

Something to take your mind off work and something fun that you can all do together as a family.1 -
@RelievedSheff It's more when I'm in the office I'm not eating ok, my secretary likes baking tbh I dread her coming into work rn as I know she'll bring something !!!!!! guaranteed on a Monday so various cakes and sweets will be all I eat all day and tonight can't eat anything. I know it's ridiculous but I suppose I eat this stuff because she's a brilliant asset to my business and she's gone to the effort of baking this stuff, she's worked for me for a long time and knows why I had to get help. I haven't cooked since Boxing Day but that would be nice and they would both enjoy that too. This coming Saturday looks like it would ok weather to have the drive to the coast perhaps. I try to avoid being away from home much at all but starting to think my wife is right and I do need to start getting out a bit more and I need to keep them as happy as I can do. More often than not I think getting them into a better position financially is all I can do for my family but I do need to switch off from work, it does me no good being obsessive about it just leads to more problems and generally is less productive.

Once you get out and about again you will all enjoy it as a family together. Spring is just around the corner, the perfect time to get out exploring.3

Managed to have a bit better day today than I thought this morning. Said no to some of the baked goods, healthy lunch, decent walk this evening and dinner with my family.@RelievedSheff thank you, I hope so. Do feel better when I actually get out tbf. Basically depressed and it makes getting on with life more difficult. Mentioned a drive to the coast tonight, wife likes the sound of that a lot more than a trip to see some tin sheds ha.2
