Had a great day with family, really nice chilled Sunday. Roast was good too. Have made some progress with personal goal setting, almost there tbh taking it easy this January, started review/set over Christmas but been busy with work.@lucielle yep makes a bit more sense now haha.
@Humdinger1 I wouldn’t go that far lol but thanks. Have to keep going, no turning back.2 -
Chilled Sundays are the best! Great work setting personal goals, having a goal and something to focus on really helps, doesn't it! Hope you have a good week. MPS.xNovember 2022 - £46,626.96 / May 2025 - £5,970.00

I've been struggling with not being able to switch off from work this week, sleep been terrible, getting by on about 3-4 hours which just isn't anywhere close to enough. Work taking longer to get through as a consequence and stress levels have been high. I'm glad I haven't any longer got people around me who might have encouraged me to slip back into addiction. Realise the importance of those measures when things are tough.
Although I've been tired, I have managed to spend time with my little family, we've had dinner together every evening this week and walked our dog - little wins. Means so much to me to have them still in my life. A lot of my personal goals this year aren't related to money but are related to keeping my head clear which means I make more sound decisions both financially and otherwise. Happy to say we're on track so far this month financially but struggling with some of the other goals set as I'm struggling with sleep.
@warby68 Happy New Year! I hope you and yours are all well? Thank you, I would like to think I have got it this time. Life has been !!!!!! horrific for too many years, not perfect now but I see some hope and made some hard decisions to set things up so I don't slip easily again.
@MissPennySave I think you're right, I'm looking forward to this chilled Sunday too. It is good to set goals I always have set goals, achieved many and fell short of many too. After getting to where I am now I think it is equally as important to make sure your self worth doesn't depend on purely material goals.3 -
Sorry to hear you're struggling with sleep. When I get like that, I find emailing myself a list of things I need to do or things that are worrying me helps get them out my head so that I can relax, I also read every night, some nights it takes a few pages before I fall asleep but more often than not I find I only manage to read a couple of lines and I'm soundo, it stops my mind wandering when I'm reading.Great your on budget this month though, and you are100% right that self worth isn't measured financially. @alt80
Try Twinings sleep tea, its an absolute miracle tea, have one cup if tiredness hasn't come on in 15 minutes have another, it will knock you out. Everyone I have recommended it too has been astounded how good it is a commercial pilot friend of mine won't even have it if he's on an early flight as his sleep is too deep when he has one. Give it a go!2 -
@alt80
Forgot to say you can buy it from the normal supermarkets that stock lots of branded products, or Amazon.1 -
