Happy Christmas!
Had a slight nightmare last night when I realised DS had twice as much as DD. Until I realised i'd left a bag of her pressies in a suitcase under the bed. OMG I was panicking.
Both children loved their pressies. It took them 7 hours to open everything, not because they had loads and loads but they were playing with each thing for ages before opening the next thing. DSs favourite toys were fake dog poo and a packet of bluetak! Bless him!
Right, we're off out now. Speak soon and have a lovely evening and boxing day xxJanuary budget

Happy Christmas everyone,
we are all feed, all pressies opened - it was 3.30 when the little one tried to get up till we sent her back to bed fortunately she went and it was 6.30 till the older one woke her, both seem very happy with their stash and have played happily together all day.
Off now to watch Doctor Who and then propably a cat nap on the sofa0 -
Merry Christmas everyone, hope everyone had a lovely day.
We have this thing every year that my sister and her fella come up on christmas morning to see the kids getting up to see what santa has left, this morning they landed at 7.30 all adult(i use that lightly) sat waiting for kids to waken (they didn't get up until near 9.
Loved all pressies except the dvd that DS1 wanted and got won't flipping work so he's so disappointed so need to contact play about that.
Had a lovely dinner at in-laws and DS1 managed to keep it down eventho he was sick this morning but seems alot better now except he still has diarriea(sp), hopeing the rest of us don't get it.
Plan for tonight is to chill out, eat chocolate and watch the soap. See you all tomorrow.:wave:Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Evening all
We survived another one well almost, I'm fit to crash and my head has been thumping I'm so tired. I eventually went to bed about 3 o clock and woke when I heard DD chatting excitedly (so still some magic left Dusty) to someone this morning. It was 630 and OH was in from work so he brought me a cuppa and we went down to the present stash. DS and DD had santa sacks and opened those pressies before breakfast, then it was wash and dress before Grandma and Grandad came round. OH had crashed by this stage and gone to bed about 8 as he couldnt keep his eyes open any longer so he missed my parents and big brother.
Sausage rolls made on time for grandad then when they'd gone I started making the stuffing and bread sauce, both experiments for me as I used to use packet mixesbut did from scratch this time. OH got up about 230 and we had lunch around 3 bfore he opened his pressies. Everyone happy with their stash so a job well done but
THE COMPETITION FOR THE NAFFEST PRESENT
I have to have the first contender
My mother bought me a 'thing' that you can make your own squirty cream + a box of spare gas bombs !!!!!*****????? Did I miss something mum or have you finally gone Bolo. That was it - I still dont get it - weird.
So if anyone gets anything weirder let us know and we can all have a laugh.
Well I've to go and finish the kitchen, DS is going to his dads tonight for a while then its just me and DD so I'll try and get her into bed early then take to my bed. Aim to be there by 9 :rotfl: .
Hope all your days have been fab and will catch up soon
Kaz xMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Successful day here too. Though I'm knackered. Vegies loved their chestnut/mushroom loaf. Ex muslims enjoyed the beef AND the turkey (not a bit of pig in sight). Some leftovers for cold cuts and bubble and squeak tomorrow. Everyone loved their presents.
DD and DiL did the washing up
Have just sat down and watched The African Queen again. ~sigh~ ~sigh~ and ~sigh~ again - they don't make 'em like that anymore. It's one of my all time favourite films.
Just about to toddle up the road to deliver presents to my best friend and her husband. I will gracefully decline the brandy this time I think - I've had too much champagne and white wine as it is!
Hoping you and yours are remaining happy, well fed and have enjoyed their day. For those of you who are poorly or who have poorly people around you, may the bluebird of wellness and healing fly low and often over your home tonight.

Happy xmas.
i am proud to say that my first xmas dinner turned out perfectly and only 10 minutes late. Lots of presents received here. Most of mine were maternity clothes, so i won't have to rush around washing my stuff tomorrow before we go away on Thursday.
We will be going back to mums tomorrow so charlie can open the rest of his pressies there. We still have some here for him too,
he wasn't excited at all - just overwhelmed. When he saw the pressies this morning he sat on my knee and got out one of his reading books instead of looking at the new stuff, and everything we opened was then played with for ages. :rotfl: DH was mega helpful and cooked breakie, and helped loads by peeling all the veg for lunch.
We are just chilling out now and doing some reading, but i think we will end up in bed fairly soon as we are exhausted. I will also have to find homes for the new stuff tomorrow. Think the charity shops will be open????
Michelle, x0 -
Charity shops aren't usually open until at least Thursday, but you could bag and stash them or pop them on freecycle Michelle.
I am pleased to hear most days went well, hugs to those who are poorly, have poorly little ones or just exhausted x. Still hoping tia's little one is ok and that no news is good news.
Turkey was great, the stuffed leg roll is lovely and now sliced and frozen for little meals for me, stuffing was fab, another 2 meals worth of turkey bagged and some in the freezer. Remind me never to buy an 11lb Turkey again for 4 people. DS1 didn't eat anything from his dinner apart from a spoon of sweetcorn. He's still not well, cold and tummy bug I think as he's coughing/snotty but tummy upset too.
Been to DPs Dad's, I made his step Mam cry again, ooops, always try to think of a thoughtful present for people, especially her as she's lovely (unlike his Mother) aswell as the perfume etc we got her this year was a tree bauble with a space for photos, she lost her Mam this year and I said it'll mean she's always there with them at Christmas. Last year I got her a spa day, her Mam was seriously ill then and it was me saying 'take some time for yourself!'.
All apart from 2 toys have been taken upstairs already, kids have got used to the routine now of bringing one thing at a time down....well, almost. Kitchens sorted apart from few more things need to go in the DW tomorrow (I love my dishwasher today as the 2 loads it's done would have took me ages, quickest I've ever tidied it after such a big meal. I feel very fatter now as we noticed 4 cream cakes we forgot about, due to go out of date today, so after the much later Xmas pud we ate 2 each
The Wii is fun but don't try to walk across the sitting room when they are playing on most games, arms swinging all over :rotfl:
Right final supper of many tablets and off to bed for me, good night everyone. One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
I am overtired....I read Michelle's post as hubby helped by peeing on the veg. I am so, so tired but very content. Went to friend's house and got in at 1030pm. Children tired and nearly argued with each other but I managed high pitched 'we are all so happy' voice and they've gone to bed and out for the count. We're just chiling for half an hour and then it'll be me out like a light. Love and best wishes xxJanuary budget
