Still in pj's here, I managed a long lie while the kids and oh watched shrek 3 so it was near 10 before we all started moving - I haven't stayed that long in bed for longer than I can remember.
DW reloaded and is back on - I didn't tidy up the kitchen last night so had it all to face this morning but its christmas so for once didn't care.
Going to have a look at some of the online sales in a mo and will be taking the dog out for a long walk this after but otherwise nothing much planned for the day.
Pigpen Happy Birthday hope you have a good day.
Lil_me well done with all your last minute wilko's spending we are up into third place.:T0 -
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurgh the mess is getting to me already. Packed all the toys Mum got the kids in a big box they are going to her house to be played with and stay there - that is ok that is what she said to do.
There are sweets and chocolate in every room. Started the tidying. Off out to the lakes now so more muddy washing when we get back. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

I didn't even switch the computer on yesterday!
The children didn't get up very early - DS2 was first, and patiently waited for the other two before opening his stocking! We were running a bit late, so they didn't even open any presents until after church. I rang my Dad while I had a coffee, and he was really pleased with his present - a !!!!!! Francis book, which he didn't even know had been published. He was going to have lunch (on his own) and then go into the hospital with my brother to spend the afternoon and evening with Mum. Yes, I did have a quiet cry into the brussels sprouts, but Dad was invited by all of us, he chose what he wanted to do - but it's just the thought of him having Christmas without Mum for the first time in more than 50 years...
Lunch was delicious, hurrah, and OH gave me the best present I think I have ever had from him - a day's course on knitting socks using 4 double pointed needles!!Apparently, he told everyone at work about it, and they were totally flabbergasted, convinced I'd hate it. I do have unusual tastes in presents, the other best present, years ago, was five bags of woodchips for the garden!! The children were all very happy with their presents, so a good day.
I had a natter to my sister after lunch, then a mammoth Monopoly Game, as DS1 gave the electronic version to DS2. I won!! Dr Who, and then later Love Actually, then I gave up and went to bed before the children! For once, I switched the alarm off, and so got up fairly late today.
Do I have carpet on the floor in the living room?? I can't see any...Just piles of presents, wrapped and unwrapped. We're opening the ones from my sister, and friends today.
Yesterday was overcast and rainy, and today it is brilliant sunshine. I may go for a walk, if I can be bothered.
I do hope all the poorly ones are feeling better today. For once, it was just one, DD who was feeling a little fragile, although not enough to spoil her day.
Have a lovely day everyone. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Hi everyone
A big Happy Birthday to Pigpen
A very quiet day today in the Kaz household. OH in bed after another stupidly busy night shift, the carp people call 999 for is absolutely unbelievable. DS went to his dads last night but was back early this morning and straight in to bed. I'd had an early night after a massive argument with DD for trashing her room completely, 24 hours after having it spotless for the first time probably all year. Went to bed with a mammoth headache and woke up with it as well so trip to Gt Nanny has been postponed until tomorrow then can combine it with a bit of sales shopping. Now having a chill out day after a long soak in the bath, going to watch Shrek 3 and pigout on nibbles all day as I am not going anywhere near the kitchen.
Hope you all have a good dayMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -

Oh it is lovely out there, everything caped in mud and on the tidy garage floor.
OH got me a great surprise present - parking sensors.
came back with a bootful of logs we gathered which is great as we are going to run low this year and they are free.
Right need to empty and refil WM and then off to Mums when kids have eaten their lunch. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
