Tia - good to hear from you, i've been wondering how you got on. Hope everyone improves quickly xx

Pigpen - happy birthday! Hope you're having a good time xx

We went to my mum and dad's today for a lovely lunch. More pressies for the children. Then we had a few friends round this evening. Children entertained themselves and 'grown ups' played all the kids board games. Then we realised it was 11pm!!!!! My two are definitely going to bed early tomorrow night!

    Hugs to all xx

  • Hapy Birthday Birthday,Pigpen. Hope you had a lovely day.

Well yesterday was ok TBH my nan had a fall and her legs seized up and then our microwave didn't work and we have no hob so dinner was somewhat delayed then straight after dinner (yes it did coincide with the tidying up) DH decided he needed to rest and took himself off to bed and stayed there until everyone one left. He even missed the kiddies opening their present :(

Then because I was feewling a little miserable I watched Noel'sChristmas Wishes and spent most off the time crying. Why on earth did i watch THAT on Christmas day.

Anyway today (after my nan had fallen over again.) we went to BIL for lunch with DH and the DS and DD. Had a really lovely time and my DS and DD got their best present...................................................................................................................

A Huge pile of Balloons wrapped in ballons. As suggested by Martin on MSE. My god I really wished I had thought of that as it kept my 2 etertainment for at least half an hour. All the rest of their toys they got for Christmas were put in thier heep after about 10 seconds :D:D

Anyway hugs and get well wishes to all those that need it.

  • Morning everyone- hope everyone had a fab (if exhausting) Christmas and that everyone who was not well feels better now.

Happy 27th December (well, I'm too late to say happy Christmas).

:j Happy belated Birthday Pigpen :j

Had Christmas Day off for first time in 4 years but back at work yesterday at 8am so not very restful. Have just popped in while I'm at work to see what everyone was up to but I'll bet you're all at the sales - just remember to play fair and no pulling hair. Now while I'm office bound, I think I'll sit down and think about what resolutions I want to make for the New Year - uummm - could take a while -:coffee: I think in the mean time :D
    I'd rather be watching CSI!

    Back later to update.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

    hello all

didn;t get online yesterday as we had christmas day mark two at the aunty's (slightly odd as it's just the same people for the same things for 2 days running, at 2 houses) but all good fun. we were suppossed to be going to my godson's family overnight tonight, before visiting my family up north but my friend texted last night to say they've all had violent bug and she'd understand if we would rather stay away. decided we had better avoid them as OH already on antibiotics and we're going to visit the rest of my family including poorly gran! so a shame but sensible i think! so we're driving north later this aft instead.

went to see our little flat again yesterday, haven't moved anything in yet but it's still nice :) needs a bit of a clean, OH says he will do it when he starts moving stuff in. not really bad but things like the fridge needs a good clean and things are a bit dusty from the refurb i think. we need some bits from ikea but i think OH will freak at the thought...he hates going!

    Morning all

Two loads of washing including my bedding. First load on the line (really breezy and mild), second load spinning.

Living room tidied room, vacuumed yesterday and it's still OK. Back to work this afternoon :(

    Morning everyone!

Glad most of you had a good Christmas. Happy belated birthday to pigpen. Hope you felt a bit better on the day than you had been feeling before it.

Still feeling rough, but need to get up and on, as I have 7 weeks of lessons to plan in time for tomorrow's planning meeting (sounds worse than it is - it's really only 7 lessons, but it'll still probably take most of the day). Bit of a pain, cos I'm not even being paid by the school until January, but I'd feel guilty if I turned up tomorrow without having done it.

Also have some washing left to do that didn't get done the other day, and I may have to pop to the shops for a few bits of food later, depending on time and necessity.

Off out tonight to a Chinese buffet for BIL's girlfriend's bday at 7 so will have to use up the bread sauce etc for lunch. OH is at work, so I'm planning to eat my main meal at lunch, just in case there isn't a lot I can eat tonight as I'm vegetarian.

Sat-Nav that I got for Christmas doesn't work - the bluetooth bit to make my phone handsfree is broken, so that's been sent back to my parents, and my Dad will take it back and try to get a replacement asap. I'm hoping that it was just that particular one that had the fault, and that I won't have the same problem with the next one (it was the Navman S50 - recommended by the gadgetshow on tv). This was my main present, and came from OH, Dad and Nana.

Well I guess I'd better get on and stop nattering. Hope all is well with everyone!

I can't remember if I wished everyone Happy Christmas:xmastree: AND Seasons Greetings to those who don't celebrate Christmas.

I've been to the doctor this morning and have to go back this afternoon for a steroid injection in my elbow. DD is sweeping the hall of dog hairs. Where do they all come from? I think the dogs should be bald by now.

Me to Drs for injection 3pm

sexymouse-You have to go to a planning meeting tomorrow! I thought conditions were meant to be improving for teachers! I never had to go in until nearer the end of the holiday. I am shocked that it is still December and you have to go in. Don't worry too much about the sat nav. We get about 30 cars a week down our road which is no through road and then about 2 a week on average get stuck on the bridle path! They tell us their sat nav told them to!!!

Tia - I hope your son and OH are better soon.

Ooh, here is my veg order, must go.
