    Happy Birthday Pigpen :)

All vacuuming done. Went to Woolworths because DS had a voucher to use but they didn't have what he wanted so we came home without spending any money! A bit of fresh air though. DS and DH have just gone out with the dog. Got a big crossword jigsaw puzzle so DS and I have started on that. (He's keener than me, the writings a bit small for me and it makes my back ache bending over). Will have another go at it when they get back from dog walking.

Got to remember to put the recycling bins out tonight in case they come early tomorrow.

Anyone else sick of undoing twisty ties etc off the back of toys? I am sure they don't need to use sooooo much packaging and ties on each toy.

A trick from the house of pen... Undo them as you are wrapping!!!!!!!!!

Good idea, a lot were from gifts from other people aswell so won't help much with those, but might just try that next year.

Well my Dad has been over, kids have had several toys out but the putting one away before getting the next out is working well. Kitchen finished, just notice how much goodies are left, why on earth I buy so much I don't know. Vacuuming downstairs done, I didn't do it yesterday and boy could you tell as there was a spare dog on the floor. I've done a wash load as it's starting to pile up here too. I need to make dinner then have a large basket full of clean laundry to put away that I just hid out of the way to deal with 'after Christmas'

We're also going to have to have a clear out in the boys rooms, need to get another book rack to replace a toy rack for DS1 aswell, I think he's got more books that the library bus we use, not brave enough just yet to tackle the sales, I wonder if Ikea shows what is in the sale online so I can see if they have the bookcase we got him before included.
One day I might be more organised...........

    Happy Belated Christmas!
    Happy birthday Pigpen!

Well, Doc on call did not go according to plan. Hubby wasn't home in time, so had to take DS1 with me too, in his jammies, with wet hair. Then when we got there, I tripped over DS2's blanket and fell in the lap of another woman waiting to see the doctor. Then Hubby turns up in time for us to be told 'Best take him to A&E and we can get his chest X-rayed.'. And A&E for children is in another hospital, 30mins away!!! Hubby took DS1 home and I took DS2 to A&E. Drove past a horrible road accident, a jeep was on it's roof!

Got to A&E and we were seen very quickly, but had to wait ages for the Doctor to come back with the X ray results. His chest is fine, thankfully! He has an Upper Respiratory Infection, and we came home at 12.30am with some antibiotics. They asked if we wanted to stay in, but as it's xmas eve, they didn't think so, hell no! Told to phone etc if he gets worse. Hubby (who is also ill with tonsillitis and now a bad cold) had done very little, so I had to wrap presents. Luckily I had not went mad this year and there were not many!

Got up at 7.02am, so not too bad. DS2 was fine yesterday, though the pair of em played up and was just mental. Then this morning he was very sick, couldn't even keep water down, but perked up at lunch time. What a boy. Any luck he will pick up soon so I can go to boots and spend my £50 voucher from my lil bro! HEHE!!

Tia - thanks for the update - been thinking of you and wondering how things were. Glad to hear that the little one is at home and hopefully on the mend.Hope your DH is better too. Tonsillitis is something I always give sympathy for as I know how vile it is and how ill you feel.

Been to Mum's all afternoon. Kids had those mini helicopters you fly indoors as presents and I was really surprised at how well they work.

Have hung up most of another basket of washing to dry and need to set a wash for tonight. Can't be bothered to tidy up now. Tomorrow is another day.

Kids sleeping over at Mums's (god help her) so OH and I hope to head to the sales and IKEA in the morning.
