OR, have you bought a car, as in visited the dealer, paid a £100 deposit and due to pay the balance and collect in a few days?
OR, have you bought a car, as in online / remote phone purchase and due to pay balance and collect in a few days?
Exactly what "bought a car" means will depend on the opportunities to cancel that you have.
1. Ask the supplying Dealer if they will allow you to reverse the purchase. There is no reason they have to but they might, or they might less a deduction.
2. Sell to another Dealer, or trade buyer such as WBAC, Motorway.
3. Sell privately.
4. Keep the car.
Any of the sale routes will be unlikely to yield the same back as you just paid out.0 -
....try contacting this chap..he may be able to provide you with a parking pace??

A Yaris too posh? Where do you live?
Also...can you check if it has any rear brakes?7 -
Is this the same 2007 Yaris that you had in 2019 and was also having issues with black box insurance and parking?

If you want to minimise your losses then you need to sell it privately.
However, since at the time of posting you could not have owned it for more than about 8 hours, aren't you being a little impetuous? No free lunch, and no free laptop2 -

Today I've bought a new car, however I now really regret it and wondering if there is any way I could get a refund if I wanted to? There is literally nowhere at home for me to park, and the cost of diesel plus other expenses to run the vehicle will be too high. I also work from home, so won't even be using it on a day to day basis and will have to take it for a run round the block every night. I thought it would make my life easier and more fun but I just really wish I hadn't gone out to buy it. £4000 it's cost me and on top of moving into a new flat where the cost.of living is getting higher, I just want my money back.
All of that was known before you bought it and sounds like a diesel wouldn't suit you anyway.
There is normally at least one space to park in my street but as soon as I bought it home this afternoon there was nowhere to park and had to park 2 streets away, thus risking me breaking the terms of my black box insurance by not parking it in the correct street at night. (I don't have the black box yet, it's being installed next week). The engine size is also too big (1.6 litres) and the car itself is too posh (2007 Toyota Yaris).0
