What was the name of the car park/location as we could well have already had previous cases about it?  ParkWatch have a number of sites with 'forbidding' signs which means they may have difficulty in arguing that any kind of contract was formed.
hi, did you manage to find out about the forbidding signs that parkwatch had.
I’ve managed to find the sign that was up on Google street view but can’t read the small print.

If you live nearby please take some photos of the signs, you're looking for any that might say 'No Parking', 'Permit Holders Only', 'No Parking on Double Yellow lines/Yellow hatched areas' or similar.  If this is a multi-outlet retail park with a large car park (free or pay & display time limited) there may not be any.

While you're there, check for any totem pole signs (usually near the entrance) as that often shows the retail park's Managing Agent who might help if a complaint is made.

  • We live round the corner. We have taken photos of the signs up now. They are really high up and really difficult to read.
The signs that were on there by the pick up/ drop off point are no longer there. There is no restriction on the drop off/ pick up point now. However I have found them on Google street view from a few years back.

Jeez.  That is utterly unreadable. One of the worst we've seen!

Looks like ParkWatch are no longer operating at the site as that is a CP Plus/GroupNexus sign, so it's probably not helpful if they were appointed after your son's parking event.

Are you sure it's their signs that are now in place all over the car park, or are there remnant ParkWatch signs still in place?

Not sure I will have a look later, the first photo is probably the one that was in force when my son got his parking ticket.
