WARNING Amazon Christmas delivery problem

Had similar problems last year, ordered things in october ready for xmas, after a load of faffing around changing the dates, my end delivery date was 21-24 DECEMBER :eek: .

So guys whats the moral of the story???????

If you want to buy xmas prezzies off amazon, buy them the January before to ensure xmas delivery :rotfl:

Apparently Amazon are adopting some kind of Wonkavision™ to deliver same day.

Makes you wonder, postie has just been and we've received a package sent from the US on the 12th already and an order from play I placed on the 17th.

I ordered a few bits for my kids on 16th December and paid for first class, to ensure it would be here on time - at first it said that it delivery estimate on 18th, then it changed to 19th - now it is still saying "items dispatching soon" :mad: :mad: :mad: and delivery estimate now says 20th! Not much chance of that since it not even dispatched yet.

Ive always found Amazon to be pretty reliable in the past, thankfully I've already got most of my stuff, and what I'm waiting for is for my 15month old son anyway so it's not like he'll know any different but not very happy to have paid for first class delivery!!

The items I re-ordered from play.com just yesterday after being messed around by Amazon have now all been posted out. Well done play.com! Now THAT is the standard of service you should be able to expect from a large web-based company.

Of course its all got to come from Jersey via Royal Mail so its all up to RM now. Fingers crossed.

slighty off topic but do amazon offer a price match if you buy an item and its in the sale say a week later?
I thought i read somewhere that if this happens they refund the difference .

I ordered some things on the 6th didn't arrive til 18th three books all sent seperate.
Now hoping another item gets here ordered on 11th was in stock but not despatched til 17th supposed to get here by 22nd fingers crossed.

I ordered from Firebox Sunday night clicked button for wrong item (choice of 2 )emailed back after confirmation email received they amended my order and I got it on Tuesday morning .:j
Well Done Firebox but they are always do fast delivery.:T
My son says I just order for the little packet of free sweets:rotfl:

those TNT amazons are a particualr bug bear of mine.
all over the news RM 'lost' the contract yet(due to pricing limitations) still have to deliver them for TNT!!
TNT even use RM for redelivery attempts on amazons when they cant find the address
