as this seems to happen every year , people should learn not to take any notice of delivery times and order early just to be on the safe side
i ordered several items between the 10th - 15th of dec , all arrived in time

    Hi all.

Wish I'd read this thread before. I placed my order on the 10th December for the Ipod touch. Arrived at the depot on the 16th and just sat there, so I contacted Amazon, who then replied that the couriers had reported the package 'missing' I was livid!!

I managed to get it from Argos in the end for a tenner more, but can't understand how the couriers could have told Amazon as soon as they asked, but not before?!

well most likely its not flagged up to them.
its unlikely they would know until amazon queried the item number and a track showed it as being in x place but it wasnt there

The items I ordered on the 14th and 15th did NOT arrive by Xmas and still have not arrived. The items I ordered on the 18th I thought may or may not arrive by Xmas (Despite amazon saying that in stock items ordered by this date would arrive by Xmas) However they should not make promises they cannot keep and should not have sent me an email on the 23rd saying not to worry that my items ordered on the 18th would arrive by Xmas as that was basically a lie. They did not and still have not arrived.

  • Grrr I'm so mad:mad: The toy I ordered on 13th December finally turned up today!!! I emailed Amazon telling them how disappointed I was and they just said that the delivery date was only an estimate and I had to allow for a couple of days either way!!

Even though I expressly checked their website which stated when I ordered - delivery by Xmas, they don't seem to give a damn! All they've said is that I am welcome to return the product!!

An apology would have been nice!!!!
  • I once ordered something that was in stock and waited for it to be delivered 3 months later i got that fed up i rang them and they told me that there was a misprint on the website! Prats!!
