Shall we place bets on seeing Amazon featured on Watchdog in the new year?

Was going to say the same! I enjoy scoffing at the chumps on watchdog whose own stupidity has tripped them up in life, but I'd quite like to become one now and have my grumble about amazon!

Thanks, they say they are close at 6pm, I'll try again in the morning.
  • I ordered a psp & had an email saying it wouldn't be delivered until after christmas.
I checked my order statue online & it still says Delivery estimate: 10 Jan 2008.
Just thought i'd have a look & it said its in stock & at 5.50pm it said order in the next 10 mins & it'll be delivered before christmas.... what the hell is that all about
I placed my order for it on the 14th of November

Tried calling but had to listen to someone talking in french, then was cut off, tried calling back & then it said it was closed. So will be calling tomorrow first thing.

Why don't you all do your Christmas shopping earlier, like me ?

It's a wonderful feeling. la de la de la de la. Merry Christmas
Because we all can't resist a bargain, of which AAAAAAAAmazon were doing loads of but all our stress levels are paying for same bargains.

I think this year they invested millions in a system they call "Tombola" - Everything is given a ticket, matching tickets are placed in a rotating barrel, tickets are picked at random, some people get their products other win a can of soup. ;)

    Sry couldn't resist.

  • I placed a order on the 10th and seemingly it was del. yesterday, checked all the usual parcel hiding places and looked in our post box for a 'sorry you weren't in' card and nothing. Phoned a nice man on the 0800 No. in the Phillipines and he said he would send out another one and when I got iratated and said that it wouldn't arrive by Monday and I had actually needed it for today he put it through for free and with free next free delivery. About 4.00 p.m. this afternoon one of my neighbours handed in the parcel :rolleyes2
Placed an order on the 17th and supersaver delivery was 24th, started to panic and checked how much it would cost for delivery and it was about £15 and when I went back to supersaver it said delivery would be January so paid for delivery, order now split into 3, 2 coming Sat. by Parcelforce and 1 by RM due 24th.
Placed an order on 19th, paid for delivery due 21st/22nd , hasn't even been despatched.

well as is always the case your contract is with amazon.
at this time of year the phone would be a nightmare.
put the ball in amazons court as they chose the courier
  • ok amazon have finally despatched a product I ordered last weekend (using super saver delivery) - by rm special delivery! i had severely doubted them and bought the product elsewhere, but they have come through.
  • My order says estimated delivery = today. its coming by courier, is there anyway I can get a tracking number???

    Thanks
  • Well mine has now said "this item is dispatching soon" for the past 4 days (and still is) despite this email they sent me yesterday:

Subject: Important Information regarding Your Amazon.co.uk Order # 026-xxxxxxxx

    Season’s greetings from Amazon.co.uk.

We wanted to reassure you that your order 026-xxxxxxxxxxx is currently being processed. We know that holidays can be stressful and wanted to relieve a portion of that stress by reassuring you that your package should leave our Fulfilment Centre soon. On dispatch, you will receive an e-mail message confirming the date, contents and method of delivery.

Our fulfillment centers and carriers are working hard to ensure that packages are delivered as quickly as possible during the Christmas period. Orders such as yours, with estimated delivery dates of December 24 or earlier, are receiving top priority in each of our fulfillment centers.

When possible, our system will upgrade many shipments to a faster shipping method to ensure they are delivered by December 24. These upgrades are complimentary during the holiday season and you will not be charged for any additional shipping costs.

Thank you for shopping at Amazon.co.uk. We hope you enjoy your order.
