@BigT369 scores a big win; so keen was the clueless kiddy at DCBLegal to send the NoD after the phone call bombardment failed, that apparently they sent a blank version!

But the email made it clear that this OP can take a bow wearing the virtual t-shirt for discontinuation number

Next up, @rosel23  rose up to confidently fly head and shoulders above the gutter-dwellers and came up smelling of roses.

This OP is now wearing the virtual t-shirt for discontinuation number

  • Hi everyone, long term snooper here but never posted. I’d like to thank everyone for this site as it helped me with my UKPC/DCBLegal battle over the last 4 years. Yesterday I got my notice of discontinuation! And it’s all thanks to everyone’s advice and input. It followed your time line to a tee. The court date was set for 20th march 24. Some nasty bully-boy tactics were used on their part with the wording in letters and email and if I hadn’t found this site I probably would’ve cracked and paid. They were claiming for £325 for a free car park because I overstayed by 13 minutes. The store’s manager requested for it to be cancelled three times but they refused to cancel it. Luckily I’d contacted the store and asked them to forward me the emails from them to UKPC, which they did. But these emails didn’t show up in a SAR when requested which I thought was a bit naughty. Neither did a photo they used as evidence in the POPLA appeal that showed the entrance sign from a pedestrian perspective (that was also covered by another sign) and not the driver’s. I pointed this out to them and the sign was removed and the photo disappeared. They used the excuse “everything gets deleted after a certain amount of time due to GDPR”. Which may be true but makes me wonder if they wait this long purposely so they can remove evidence before it is requested? Keep up the good work, you lot deserve a medal!! :-)
  • Good for you gobbygabby81

When government wakes up from their deep sleep regarding the great parking scam, we may well see some changes

This ALSO applies to the MoJ to sort out the serial timewasters who use the County Court as a public convienience ..... using tax payers hard earned money

AND the BPA ????   RUN BY DODGY PARKING COMPANIES AND LEGALS

Wow - they removed the photo from where?

Can you show us a redacted copy of that discontinuance?   It helps to show none of this is hearsay.

  • Here’s a copy of the discontinuation. It was an email from DCBLegal themselves, I’m aware I need to follow court procedure until I’m notified by the court of this, which I shall do. I assumed all the evidence they would rely upon would be in the SAR I requested from UKPC but it was extremely basic. Only the original notice, two zoomed in pics of my reg plate, the appeal and rejection and a pic of the sign of T&C’s. No emails or photos that I knew existed were sent and they denied all knowledge of. Surely that’s part of their evidence? Or am I wrong in that? Also the sign they sent me with the T&C’s had it written (in small font) that £60 additional would be added for “debt collection”, yet they added £70 which that figure was not mentioned anywhere I could see. During the final reminder letters it also went to £182 at one point and back down to £170. It just seemed a whole mess and they didn’t know what day it was. It’s been a long stressful 4 years but I couldn’t have done it without the help of this site.
