E.On Next Online v18 - should I fix like MSE suggests?

  • So I reached out to EON today via email and immediately got a response stating that they cannot move the date back as the tariff is already live. Crazy that they cannot communicate internally!
  • I signed up to v18 last week from flex rate and asked to defer and they said only those already on fixed rates can defer. Is this incorrect? I can see a few have delayed theirs! Not sure I can go back to them now to complain but worth a shot if others who are in same position as me did delay

I don't know if what you were told was correct BUT I am (still) on a fixed tariff (v7 Online DD) and was able to defer the start date until October 1st for (v18 Online DD).

Same here, I got told by 3 people (including 1 manager) that’s it’s not possible to delay due to being on a flex tariff, except today I emailed them to be told they can’t switch me now as the plan is already live.

I’m waiting for their response as they clearly don’t know what they are doing.

^ I've had the same Maverick. 3 different people (including a manager) that I couldn't delay. When I told them other customers had been allowed to delay, they maintained that it wasn't possible. They even put it into an email for me, saying "this is not something we're able to do due to the price market and the rapid changes in prices"

Just so others are aware, I phoned up EON Next today and asked to be moved to the v18 tariff in 45 days time. The agent was unsure whether or not this was possible and I was on hold for a period of time. The agent came back to me and said that this was a legacy policy of EON and not one which EON Next follow, but I was told they would do it. Asked to delay the fix for 45 days and had this confirmed via email that it starts on the 29th September.
I’m a little confused as to why it seems so inconsistent.
