forget last post, just seen this. thanks.PRAISETHESUN said:
I think from memory the average payout was about ~50 days from the date of initiating the switch. Someone was keeping track of it in the thread discussing the previous Santander offer: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6296624/santander-130-switch-offeryoungretired said:Can anyone confirm that it actually does take the 60 days and then the further 30 days before receiving the incentive from past switches with the same timeframe?
Also does it effect the switch incentive if you upgrade the account from a Everyday to the 123 Lite before the 60 days?0 -
What would you suggest Trustpilot adds to a current account switch offer? In many years of successful switching and switch bonus bagging, I have never once consulted Trustpilot, and nobody else has ever reported that they did.PoGee said:I'd look at Santander's Trustpilot reviews first.
How much you get in Santander cashback depends entirely on the size of your DDs. I make at least £5 a month, after the £2 fee. OTOH, if you have very low bills, you might not even break even.phillw said:
You get £3.00 for 2xDD with Natwest and the same with RBS. Which for most DD is best than what you'll make off Santander.oldagetraveller1 said:Sorry, don't understand the question. What is the relevance of NatWest and R.B.S.?In any case, Santander and Natwest/RBS aren’t mutually exclusive. I have all three.0 -

I had never been a Santander customer when I applied for the 123 Lite account which was approved and opened. I was then informed my login details were the ones I had used for my Alliance and Leicester account, an account I had closed years earlier.
This would suggest they use far more than just login credentials to know who you are and merge accounts. My account opening email stated they thought I might be a customer (as others in this thread have posted), but did not provide any login details. I can only think it was my Alliance and Leicester current account which was closed ages ago has left some digital crumbs behind.I sent off the update details form and a copy of ID as requested, but have heard nothing yet. My switch has completed and that email has invited me to register for online banking, but I'd like to know if they still think I've got usable login credentials. Yonks back Nationwide unilaterally did an online customer number merge/revert for me and locked me out until I had to jump though some hoops on the phone with them so I don't want to jump the gun with Santander.0 -
The £175 offer looks to have been pulled last Thursday (22/09)

They must have finally processed/checked for duplicates as they've sent me part 1 of my OL banking details today (2 weeks after application and after my switch has completed).miller said:I sent off the update details form and a copy of ID as requested, but have heard nothing yet. Santander did pay me the £160 incentive , despite my having received previous switch incentive/s
The new switched-into acc was set up on a different profile (by them) , which may have helped (?)
Switch was on 18 Aug and incentive received on 4 Oct0 -
Did anyone who received the incentive payment also receive a reminder email from Santander?:
>>Remember, to qualify for the cashback offer, within 60 days of telling us to switch your account, you’ll need to:
have successfully completed the switch, which includes closing the account not held with us
set up at least 2 Direct Debits. These can't include Direct Debits set up to fund a savings account you have with Santander, cahoot or Cater Allen
pay in £1,000, and
log on to Online or Mobile Banking. Take a look at the terms and conditions<<
I was sent the above email despite already meeting the requirements.0 -
Yes, bizarrely I was sent the above email just now, despite already having received the incentive!1

I assume it was badly formatted like a 1980s Word document? Someone should tell them about margins and text alignment.
