NS&I website - going round in circles trying to log in
Will they require you to create another new PIN number for every device you register?
I’ve got pins coming out of my flippin ears
I hope not. I read the PIN requirements and re-used one I use elsewhere which fulfilled all 3 rules outlined yet it still wouldnt take it. Sigh. Thank god for password safes.
Same problem here - cannot access my accounts. I use Safari.
They suggested try a different browser, but I don't have another browser and certainly do not want google.
Its just the usual screw up by the IT dept with insufficient testing with real customers first.
I was told they logged my complaint and may get back within 3 days, or not.
What I don't get is they don't say why you need to create a new random 6 digit number. They already use two factor authentication which the norm today. I can't remember another random number or password along with all the others...its too much.
Just set it up, Firefox on W10, and works fine. OTP sent over landline, worked OK. Set up for two different accounts on one device and it didn't get confused and require OTP again like LBG sites do.
I wonder how some 80 year old pensioners who aren’t computer savvy put up with all these shenanigans...
They and/or their family and friends would be the first to complain about lack of security if their money gets stolen. If person, of any age, needs help with their NS&I accounts, there are various options https://www.nsandi.com/help/manage-money-for-others
Just a quick update: I tried logging on to the NS&I website again this morning, and it worked! I didn't even need to clear cookies or anything (this was using Chrome).
