    Let's have a practice...

    What are your thoughts on...

The energy/cost of living crisis.  How is it effecting your household?  Have your parents upped your keep?

Interest rates.  How is this effecting your saving for your own place and potential for affording a mortgage?

Have you been watching the Commonwealth games?  Or the football?

Seen any good films recently?   Any good TV shows?

Then ask us some "small talk" questions too.

I would not say same answers face to face as somethings are personal

I don’t pay any keep, I’ve not always workerd and don’t have much money as saving 1k a month, then I have about 400,500 left for food car going out etc
    and been scam in past.
    Not really looked into it.

im still saving good amount it’s if house prices go up a lot in 2-3 years then I will really struggle, wife would help but that would just be a bonus, of course I’m not looking for wife for that.

    nope not really watch either

did you watch scam city on bbc, if guv Singh is a scammer why is he not arrested?

    Not seen it

My weekends and week days are similar, I don't live for a weekend, I enjoy every day.

do you enjoy your job, and what job do you do?
I quit my corporate job in the pandemic and volunteered with NHS and Cancer charities. I've just finished a stint in a community school.... At some point I might go back to corporate, but I'm having too much fun outside the office lifestyle

    what’s a regreat of yours
    I don't have any

See its really not too hard, and doesn't make a difference if talking to male or female.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

I've not seen that TV show, is it a drama or reality TV?

Being retired, we don't have weekdays/weekends, they all blend together.    As for jobs, if there's anything to drive you to early retirement it's a life in Insurance 😂

I've regretted a few hangovers in my time...but you can't live life in the past, so no point having regrets, just learn from things you'd do differently and don't repeat them!

So, where have you got your savings at the moment?   In one of the top interest paying accounts?   Rates are on the way up, so there are starting to be some better deals about than of late.

Ditch and switch as Martin would say!! 😉

You say you don't pay keep, so are you doing everything you can to reduce your households energy consumption?

Quicker showers, less lights on, cooking/eating together?

Are your parents comfortable, or will they struggle with increasing bills?

How did you first come across the MSE forum?   What lead you here?

Reality on bbc, called scam city

Why doesn’t everyone take early reinsert what’s the disadvantage?

My savings are in a lisa, 10k including the 2k bonus and rest normal Halifax savings account

    Can’t wait till I retire :), but I’m only 35 :(

Not really same as before, but don’t use light much.

Also just to add to that most my couins both sides don’t pay any keep to parents either and they earn a lot more, whoever does  or even doesn’t pay, they benefit way more like get help buying houses etc, all well off

No idea how they will or won’t cope don’t discuss it, and try not to look into their finances too much, as it would just upset me if it was struggle, and if it wasn’t I don’t want to know none of my business.

Can’t rember how I found it, however I didn’t have anyone really to talk to, so thought coming on here’s a good idea and when I did came on here for 2nd opion or because I want to stay anonymouse

    Do you mean early retirement?

If so, the answer is not having the money to do so.

    OK, thanks.

I assume you mean "retirement".   Mostly people don't, because they can't afford to.

But if your parents are struggling, don't you think you owe it to them to pay something towards your keep, as you are using heat, light and water and adding to their bills.   Just think how much your utility bills would be if you had your own place?!?   Obviously this is between you and them, and what others do or don't do shouldn't come into it.

So that should be all the more reason to get involved in other threads.   Get used to talking to people, even if not in real life, it's all good practice.

    Was watching banged up abroad.

Talbian, kidnapper some Americans, theses people are experienced kidnappers, obviously I want Americans to escape talibian didn’t, are talbian stupid they moved them to a room with bars on window that could be pulled of then you can be pushed out of.

Even I saw that as escape option soon as they showed room how did yalbian miss it , glad they did.

I know retirements ages away I’m 35 work in a bank been 6 years add about 100 a month from of my own wages to ensign on about 24k a year.

I had some other jobs may need, to put thouse pensions in.

As it’s too complicated to work other jobs out as had 14 diffent ones don’t know which ones had pensions and not, what’s best way to check

Just with my bank pension how much will I have if I’m lucky enough to retire at 60, or may start part time then

Why do so many very clever people dedicate their lives to god, doesn’t this prove god exist, so many religions, doctors lawyers, millionaires leave it all behind, to be a monk etc, can’t get my head around it and their not stupid, maybe there’s truth in it.

It’s it worth getting proeffsion photos for dating profiles, it’s very expensive though over £100 for a good compny.

Why not post a thread up on the Pensions board, and ask your questions there.   Lots of really helpful people should be able to give you lots of advice about how to locate old pensions, and how to find out what they might be worth.   Plus see if your current contributions are sufficient.   Can you increase them?

Best leave religion off these boards.   It's a bit of a "no go" area and will just get your thread pulled.

I don't think it's worth it, no.    Keep it real....you need to look like you if you ever meet in real life, and don't want to be photoshopped to look a certain way on line.   Leave that to the teenagers!!

    as above.

Few reasons why I don’t, my dad would take it, but my mum always says no and to save.

Also I have wasted so much money in past need to keep as much as possible and not had much

Finally as I save 1k a month left with 500 for food car going out etc so don’t really have much to give.

I not put it in pensions bored as I’m only 35, think it’s too early to get tahts deep, of course not to early to put money into it

Current ones is a lot plus bank will give a lot

    Maybe later

With photos they say they keep it real and it’s just better, versions of yourself there speculators for dating profiles called hey saturday.

It's NEVER too early to get to grips with your pensions.

They'll probably think it's quite refreshing that someone so young is already taking an interest in what's what....rather than getting to 50 and realising they are falling short.

Unfortunately, I can see the current cost of living crisis hitting the "bank of Mum and Dad" hard, and many adult children are going have to step up and  subsidise the household or stop taking help, if they've moved out.
