I am only on Universal Credit and not working as I am on LCW since last year, so I should get this Cost of Living payment, but not got it yet in my bank. It seems they paying people on sick benefits first before anyone else as my dad is on sick benefits and he got he's yesterday.

I cannot see any point in discussing what methodology (assuming there is one) is behind the date of payments. We’re all guessing. All we know is that payments have started and the intention is to get most paid by 31st July (for those entitled to DWP benefits).
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

Some clarity wouldn't go amiss though would it? Yes, we know, 14th - 31st July etc etc. That's a long time if someone hasn't got any money or food in their cupboards!!
As a footnote, it should actually be in bank accounts by 29th July, going by usual DWP rules... 30th and 31st are a weekend

That's not very helpful comment at all. Some people are relying on this Cost of Living payment, maybe people are in desperate need because no food in cupboard or not got much money left for electric.

It would be good if DWP let people know a definite date when it will reach bank.

Sorry you feel that. Yes I do understand that this is important to people but a two week window is quite a narrow range. I guess it might be possible to send out automated messages when the payments are made but sending out message with dates in advance, even if practicable, then presents a possible problem of causing even more anxiety if there is slippage.

What you're asking is impossible. No one here can give any clarity all we can tell anyone is the dates that were given in the guidance. If people want answers then they can if they want ring the departement of the benefits they are claiming and ask if the money has been sent to them.

Not asking for clarity from here, that should be the govts job. And as for calling the relevant benefit dept to find out, don't bother. I called U/C and they don't know as the payment comes from central govt

LCW is part of UC. Providing you received a payment of UC for an assessment period that ended between 26th April and 25th May then you will receive the first payment of £326. Paid anytime up to around 31st July. You are not the only person that hasn't received their money yet. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/cost-of-living-payment
