That’s unfortunate all the waiting stressing worrying I do hope you get somewhere despite what they have said and I am rooting for you and anyone in the same position. If they still say no I guess there isn’t a lot that I can do.Have you heard back yet? If not I hope you do soon."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -

Are you sure you aren't going to get the payment due to your tax credits instead, they have told you this already? The gov site says:Bumblebee1814 said:So I requested a MR via my UC journal which they have raised and they have asked me to upload any relevant docs to support my request. I’m just going to send them my statement which shows the relevant assessment period and my entitlement which was sent directly to my landlord for rent payment.
Tax creditsTo get the first Cost of Living Payment of £326, you must have been entitled, or later found to be entitled, for any day in the period 26 April 2022 to 25 May 2022 to:* a payment of tax credits
And you said that your last payment of tax credits was on the 26th April, so unless they have changed the criteria it kinda sounds like you're one of the people this waiting period between the two benefits was put in place for, so no-one is double paid.0 -

If they still say no I guess there isn’t a lot that I can do.Have you heard back yet? If not I hope you do soon.Coming back to this because i looked back at your previous threads. In May you posted saying you started your claim for UC on 27th April, thread here. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6357380/uc-claim#latestIf it started on 27th April, it means you're not entitled to the first payment through your UC claim because your AP will have ended 1 day too late. All the way through the other comments you've said your claim started on 26th April. Please look at your journal to see exactly what dates your assessment periods are.If you were incorrect with the dates all this time then this is why you haven't received it through UC. You may qualify through your tax credits claim. Therefore the £326 will be paid in September, if the following applied..Tax credits
To get the first Cost of Living Payment of £326, you must have been entitled, or later found to be entitled, for any day in the period 26 April 2022 to 25 May 2022 to:
- a payment of tax credits
- an annual award of at least £26 of tax credits

Hi all thanks for your responses.I’ve double-checked my journal and my claim for UC was submitted 26 April 2022 at 10.02am. I was incorrect in stating it was the 27 April on my other post.
My first AP was 26 April 2022 to 25 May 2022.I normally received my TC payments every Wednesday and my last payment was 26 April 2022. TC have said that my claim ended 25 April 2022.The guidance was updated on 16 August 2022 to state: Clarified that for tax credits claimants to get the first Cost of Living Payment of £326, they must have been entitled, or later found to be entitled, to tax credits for any day in the period 26 April 2022 to 25 May 2022, rather than they received a payment between those dates.
So it’s doubtful that I would be getting any payment in September. Also to add for the relevant AP my UC entitlement before deductions was £1398.89 and my deductions due to my earning was £969.89. therefore, I was entitled to a payment of £429, of which the entire amount is paid to the landlord. (My actual housing cost is £529 - I pay a shortfall of £100 per month).
