UC Claim

Good Evening All!

I have a quick question about UC and hoping someone can help.

I was in receipt of CTC but from April 2022 this significantly reduced by more than half (the previous tax year I did go from PT to FT so not exactly surprised). Used the benefits calculators and even sought advice as this was a significant drop in income and it appeared that I would be better off on UC.

Made a claim on 27 April 2022 agreed to the commitments etc and am now waiting until my claim is processed.

The To-Do-List says that they will call me…but have not had any phone call yet. I saw in other posts that this is usually to verify ID but I already did this as I have a Government Gateway login.

I received a UC notification today asking to confirm housing costs, which I did.

It still says that they will call, but no other messages and still no phone call.

So my question…will they call me? The fact that they haven’t called me, is this something to worry about?

I had the same on my claim from March and never got called, it's still there (I have LCWRA), I know of someone else also with LCWRA whose had that same message on their journal since November 2021.
There is some suggestion that the "to-do" list can't be empty and that message is there as a filler.
  • Thanks. Just a waiting game now

The to do list can be empty. For those in employment, it usually is.
