Hi El
It's frustrating when the money seems to evaporate.
Hope you have enough in the FF and the cupboard and fuel tank to make it to payday.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

it felt like it Peb 🤣🤣
got so bad and I was working in the ppe every shift that it came to a head, I'm now not working anymore than twice a week in the ppe and my body is much better for it.
I've also once again been unwell more long term covid stuff, which has led to further investigations being needed, other tests done, so it's been a tad busy in the El household.
I've been spending like money is going out of fashion, I'm thinking it's been down to the fact I have been quite down and despondent with my health, so I've been trying move my focus to things I cam do and trying to set my garden up etc, that stuff costs money ... sheesh it ain't cheap.
In good news mr el has reduced his alcohol spend to £30 a week, he now even has a night off of drinking maybe once or twice a week. It's better and he is working at it, but it isnt easy.
I am thinking I may have to cancel our summer holiday this year as I am not physically fit for it, which does break my heart and I'm not yet ready to cancel but I recognise it may happen.
Hope you are all well6 -
Welcome back
Sounds huge on the alcohol reduction.

Sorry the health thing is pants, and even more so the double whammy re the summer holiday ☹️4

Some great news in there, but very sorry to hear about the long covid situation
as far as cancelling the summer holiday because of it - it's why I started going on cruises, I couldn't cope with the energetic sort of holiday I used to have, but I was still desperate for a change of scenery. Getting one that sails straight from the UK means you don't have to go through airports; and it's important that trips aren't included - I've never been on one of those, but there were some optional trips that were listed as 8 - 9 hours, absolutely nightmarish for me, and sometimes I didn't go on any trip at all, when my sister did.
Good luck El, hope it works for you.2023: the year I get to buy a car2 -
Hey all,
today I'm going to attempt to clear a couple of wheelbarrow loads out of the polytunnel before planting some chilli seeds ( will keep them in the house) I have the verandah to clean but wont be doing that before April ( it looks so sad and messy just now) but I'm kinda itching to get it done.
Imperceptibly lighter nights and mornings are appearing and were heading in the slow journey to summer and heat, Its an exciting time to be alive.
Better get a scoot on to get this garden done, may have a coffee first though
Have a great day everyone5 -

Thanks saving, landed up back in bed exhausted but set my alarm and dragged myself out of bed and have managed to take 2 wheel barrow loads of soil out the polytunnel and empty a couple of pots, I'm done in doing it but I'm resting for half an hour then going and doing some more, I need to do more of this kinda stuff, I enjoy it and whilst just now I'm shattered from working all week I need to build up my strength
Getting there slowly
I'm looking forward to my week off, going to spend a couple of days adventuring with skinty, which is always fun, we are just organising a walking day and we have a spa day sorted, I promised myself at the start of covid once it was all over I would have a spa day cause I knew I wouldnt get a break till then and finally I'm getting to the spa with a brilliant friend so I'm happy .
Will also spend a few days sorting stuff at home, Mr El is wonderful but grrrr so messy. When I was off with covid I cleared so much stuff out and cleaned the place and tried to keep on top of it, but everywhere I turn theres bits of blue roll or shoes or other things just left lying around. I need another clear out, he likes to keep things just incase, i keep things cause they are pretty and bring me joy, so I ermmm cant complain too much as I tend to find a lot of things pretty that give me joy 🤣🤣5 -
