So I decided to try my hand at crochet again, I followed a you tuber and thought I did exactly what she showed me but ermmmm .... it's a mess, I really need to go to classes, I'm not trying to do anything fancy at all but what I am doing is a mess ... will need to try and book classes I think.

Spoke to someone about sewing machine lessons today, hopefully I can build my skills in that dept atleast

I went for lessons. She spent most of her time telling me off for holding my hook incorrectly despite my telling her that I couldn’t hold it the way she suggested due to arthritis 🙄

Aye I remember that... some people just have huge ego's, are snobs and want things their way, same with kayaking, they dont even call what I use a kayak ...

I tried a class at a festival in my city by the sea - I have arthritis in my fingers too, and it was agony.  I've been a knitter, and I could go back to that - I like the easy pick up and put down of crochet, and the decorativeness, but it really hurts.

Sewing lessons!  I have one of my mum's machines, that she bought in the 1980s, and the manufacturer was really helpful in discussing what I needed.  Haven't even looked at you tube yet, but I will.  At least I have the manual online.

funnily enough the person that I spoke to yesterday said you tube is brilliant for learning, so I am going to have a wee go at that and build my confidence up, was watching a different person last night do crochet and they seemed to do it a wee bit different than the person I watched, so gonna try that one today,

I'm working a couple of hours overtime today, I've been a bit spendy on the spending front, I didnt even spend onnthe strength of the overtime, just spent. Pilates classes and a knitting thing, I also bought myself a new pair of winter gloves, I dont exactly NEED a new pair but i did like them and they cover my wrists.

Have continued to learn my crochet and did slightly better yesterday, I'm thinking of doing a tempreture blanket, but as I'm sitting here I'm thinking its gonna cost a fair bit in wool,  but is that a good enough reason not to get creative ?

I'm still struggling post covid and tbh its started to get on top of me, spoke to the nurse yesterday got some bloods taken and a couple of prescriptions, hopefully get to the bottom of whatever is happening soon.

Trying to tidy the spare bedroom as well so I can get back to sewing, think I need to hunker down in my cave for a wee bit and sort through some things.

    hope your all good xxx
