what an amazing day weve had, a long slow climb up the side of a stunning waterfall followed by a swim in the most beautiful bath tub.

Lost of relaxation with amazing company... well except for the midges they were a bit rough.

Day was a cheap as well, we both took food and drink, and shared petrol price ( although I still think I owe skinty money... we need to have a discussion Skinty)

A 10/10 kinda day, just what the soul needs

Thanks saving yep it was a braw day

Braw a word I thought everyone used appears not to be so, we met a couple from ( I think) England who we got chatting to, I said it's a braw wee walk ( or something similar) and the guy asked what bra was I was like... Braw aye braaw ( he got there in the end ... better than I do learning new words) so we explained braw and skinty included the Scandinavian similarity ... every days a school day :-)

wages in...... wages out .... we wait all month for the wages to arrive and then wooosh gone in 60 seconds, Mr El did the transferring so he knows where it goes, he agrees we need an adventure budget, so that's being added to next months, then he asked of we can start saving for house repairs ... I said we already do, so he is planning some repairs for this weekend... For me that's a positive, I'm hoping he is getting out of his funk but we will see, trying not to build up too much hope or pressure on him

    Have a braw day everyone

Yep - braw is not used in England (well, certainly not down in Glos) - although I have a Glaswegian friend who educates me in all sorts of words used in Scotland. I love regional dialects :)

Which all goes to prove that the teaching of english lit has sunk over the years.  Alright so it has been over 60 years but what happened to - A braw bricht moonlit nicht the nicht?  Just showing off my memory here before dementia is a fact not a worry!  Worry intensified today as "friend" when asked this morning if I could borrow his carpet cleaner asked me if he had one.  He is a few weeks younger than me.  Scary time - asked my son who confirmed that is where we borrowed last time.  This second guessing is a killer!
