Aye it's not easy losing a loved one but he comfort a new pet can bring can help.
Visited friend with new puppy and its gorgeous, a braw wee dug, but visiting it helped me cement that for us a pet isnt for us at this time.
Adventures planned for the week ahead, a wee dauner and swim at the grey mares tail and a hill ( still to be chosen) it will be great to get out again and start building my strength back up.
I think I have pilates tomorrow will need to check.
Work was exhausting, I was done in last night but had an early night and a totally lazy day today.4 -

Thanks @savingholmes, came back from puppy play and slept till 8pm, have decided to cancel my class tomorrow, kindve annoyed as I paid £40 for 4 classes but I dont think I will be healthy enough tomorrow and next Sunday I have 24 of oncall to do for work so cant do that, that leaves me just 2 weeks, someone else can get the opportunity and use the place.
I need to remember to be kind to myself and not beat myself up over this.3 -
Hi Elantan, just seen and read your new diary and wanted to say welcome back 😊
Sorry you have had a rough time recently, I hope you are feeling a bit stronger now. It was lovely what you said about coming back on here feeling like home 🙂MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3 -
You sound a bit like me, actually, on the pets thing: I love animals dearly, cats especially, but everything, but I couldn't have another one, not until I'm *really* old2023: the year I get to buy a car4

I think I was born to be an aunty, I love my friends and families children, but just not for me! So I think being a pet parent/aunty/uncle etc is very similar, you can get all the loves and fun, with little to no responsibilities! I have three dogs, two guineas and a chicken, they are all wonderful and I love them, but they are costly and a lot of responsibility, haha. I have friends who like to come round to enjoy the animals, and go home after full of the love they give.
Do you wild swim?3 -
I think El you have to prioritise rest to balance out your work right now. I have similar pain as due to a mix of life circumstances and covid I've not been to the gym for a week but I felt it was more important to prioritise rest. It was the right call.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
