That wild swim looks amazing!
You definitely need to look after yourself, your mental and physical health has to be put first including adventures.
Sorry to hear re your OH but it sounds like you are facing that situation square on and starting to financially make plans and save to look after yourself which is super important.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

greent said:Yep - braw is not used in England (well, certainly not down in Glos) - although I have a Glaswegian friend who educates me in all sorts of words used in Scotland. I love regional dialects
It is important to remember that Scot's is a language all on it's own2 -

badmemory said:Which all goes to prove that the teaching of english lit has sunk over the years. Alright so it has been over 60 years but what happened to - A braw bricht moonlit nicht the nicht? Just showing off my memory here before dementia is a fact not a worry! Worry intensified today as "friend" when asked this morning if I could borrow his carpet cleaner asked me if he had one. He is a few weeks younger than me. Scary time - asked my son who confirmed that is where we borrowed last time. This second guessing is a killer!
Aye my memory ain't so great either anymore sadly2 -

Swim and walk was exactly what I needed to push myself a wee bit harder after covid, still have a long way to go to get back to where I was pre covid and I want to get healthier than I was then, but it's a much needed start with a very patient friend5 -
