Brambling well done on the loss. I hope your gout improves soon.
Frith I know it can be hard to remember during the final slog but you've done so amazingly well to get this far. I hope you enjoyed your weekend off and the baking.
Gingerlily Well done for STS. I know it's annoying when your weight doesn't reflect the effort you've put in but hopefully it'll catch up soon.
Jenny Well done on the loss. I'm a bit late but, salad dressings - I really like a mixture of red wine vinegar, lemon juice, loads of black pepper and a tiny splash of olive oil. It works really well with freekeh/bulgar wheat and roasted veg as well.
Longhill I hope you're feeling better soon.

Van Girl Well done for the loss, the restraint with the pizza obviously worked.
I'm weighing in with a 0.5lb loss this week. I'm a bit disappointed as I've been really good but have similar thoughts to Sirens - I know I'm eating fewer calories than I'm burning so I just need to keep going and it should balance out eventually.
Lunch today wasn't nutritionally the best (a Tiramisu McFlurry and a couple of Quorn picnic eggs/cocktail sausages) but it was within my calorie limit and I'll have roasted veg and freekeh for dinner. At least the heat seems to have reduced my appetite 😄

Well done on the losses.
Hope you are not too poorly with it longhill and Brambling the gout eases soon.
Today for breakfast it was mushed avocado and poached eggs and a sprinkle of chilli flakes, 2x coffee and cream. Other meal started with a small salad with extra v olive oil and white vinegar and sea-salt, then the chicken chorizo traybake with peppers, courgettes and onion and a blob of sour cream. Sf jelly to finish.
No 3rd meal today as not hungry again, I did eat the 2nd meal later as was out exercising and wasn’t hungry enough before I went. Apart from the coffee it’s just been water today for fluids so calorie free.Old Style Weight Loss Challenge 2025

Temperature is 29 here at 9pm and unfortunately not meant to drop below 22 all night, I've found a old hot water bottle which is now in the freezer 🙂 I'm not built for heat and my own power surges don't help 🙄 I've stayed indoors with the curtains drawn, just popped out quick to water. The furry one has decided he wants to get cuddly tonight he doesn't understand my unwillingness to have a cat on my last at the moment 🙄
it seems 2 attacks of gout in 3 months probably means permanent medication, which can't be given during a attack, to avoid another daily tablet (I already take a thyroid one) means I need to what the protein I eat so back to a more veggie diet and I'll moan over the warning that seafood and some fish is now bad for me 😞. TBH losing weight will help as wellLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin5 -
@Izadora The dressing sounds good, might have to try that with red cabbage. I'd be happy with a .5 loss, I usually have a few weeks of small losses before things kick in.
@Brambling, had a relative who said strawberries gave them gout, medication does not help with weight loss, hope you feel better soon.
38 C here tomorrow, I have an old South facing house with big windows, it is an oven. I have 2 cooling mats which are supposed to go in your pillow, I've been putting them in the freezer then behind my back.

Morning All
Well I'm hot already, it's 24 already here in London, we hit about 37 yesterday, work was like an oven, we have big fans which are good at blowing hot air at you, unfortunately our air con is broken and no windows 🥵. Luckily I am off today as it is ds birthday, so I will be finishing his birthday cake this morning (which I baked last night) and he has requested a takeaway for dinner so will be writing today off 😂 hope you all managed yesterday, take care x'You have brains in your head. HiBreakfast today was smoked salmon and cream cheese in an egg wrap and 2 coffees with cream. Mid afternoon meal started with cream of spinach soup then a tuna mayo salad and a sf jelly with cream.
Other calories have been a cup of tea with milk and some chocolate and peanut butter.I’ve had a bit of a sedentary day today and not hungry for supper.Old Style Weight Loss Challenge 2025

I thought that the heat might kerb my appetite but all that has happened is that I have become sedentary and binged on icecream.
On the plus side, I am down 0.5kg. Hope I can keep this trend going.8
