Hello All
well it's been quite an eventful week, I have managed a loss of -1lb so am happy that (although slow) it is going the right way. Sunday is our off day so we are having a bbq with s'mores for pud (think that is the bit the kids look forwards to most!) apart from that not too bad lamb and veg kebabs some chicken drumsticks, jackets and corn and some grilled pineapple. I have not managed any exercise as it's been too hot, and can't see myself doing any next week either. I am not a water drinker as a rule but I've drunk so much these last few weeks i'm surprised I haven't developed gills, so I guess that's a good thing.'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

Hi
Well done on the loss Sirens, your bbq sound delicious.
Breakfast today; Greek yoghurt, berry and cherry compote, peanut butter, slivered almonds and a sprinkle of chia seeds,1 creamy coffee and 1 barely any cream (none left). Other meal started with a prawn cocktail followed by pan fried salmon, courgettes and broccoli with a little sweet chilli sauce and a sf jelly for afters.
Not hungry for a 3rd meal today though I have had a couple of fancy chocolates which were very nice. All other drinks have been calorie free.Old Style Weight Loss Challenge 2025

Will start BSD again tomorrow!
I hadn't realised how much I had missed baking. Also, after 3 months of BSD food, some things were reaching their best before date!
Brunch - lettuce, tomatoes, avocado and sliced chicken
Afternoon - made a tray of cinnamon buns which were very nice, though they rose like mad in the heat! That used up the bread flour. Luckily my mum, dad and brother popped by (to help me mend a leaking fuel pipe on my car) so they took 3 home with them. This left only 9 for son2 and me...
Tea - will be meatballs in hm tomato sauce.
Hope everyone else is getting on OK. It was OK here all day (25 degrees) but has suddenly got extremely hot. (Welsh Marches)5 -

Will done on the loss SIRENS I hope you had a good BBQ
I'm glad you gave yourself a couple of days off from diet Frith you earned itI do have cinnamon bun envy I love them but haven't made them in nearly 40 years
I was 'bad' yesterday and made some salted caramel ice cream (no churn)I took some to my sister's lunchtime and we liberated some of the brownies my nephew had made for his mates tonight and had ice cream, brownies and raspberries (to be healthy) We did leave him some ice cream as payment but I escaped before he saw he had been robbed
we were going to sit in her garden but at 29 degrees it was too hot for me the sun hits her garden all afternoon.
In the sunny SE we are due for either 35 or 37 over the next couple of days depending on which forecast you chose to believe so I'm going to be even grumpier than I have been over the last few days thanks to another attack of gout, between trying to keep hydrated for that and the heat I seem to spend the night in the bathroomI'm looking forward to the promise 10 degree drop on Wednesday
Have a good week everyone stay hydrated if you are in the 'red' zoneLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin7 -
Good Morning! Starting to get warm here, but still at the lovely, rather than unbearable stage
Very pleased with a 4 lbs loss this week. I think that's partly having new scales, but I'll take it on this occasion haha. We'll see what next week brings I suppose. Meals are planned, and very salad based this week, so I'm feeling confident!£12k in 25 #14 £10,474.10/£18k 24 #14 £15,653.11/£18k 23 #14 £17,195.80/£18k 22 #20 £23,024.86/£23k6 -
