have a good week everyone, is anyone as depressed as me at the thought that we are nearly in August  :o someone has stolen my 2022 although to be honest they also stole my 2020 and 2021 !

To be honest, my mind has half turned to Christmas and I'm already planning

2.5 lb loss for me this week. I'm very pleased as I feel quite bloated so wasn't thinking I would have lost anything. I have eaten quite carefully this week but haven't done much exercise due to the rain, and feeling a bit tired. Think I need to add a few more calories for the extra boost, so that I can get back to my walking and running. It's all a learning curve!

I was planning for a 3lb loss for the quarter.  Earlier this month I reached the 1lb loss mark - so that can be recorded now.

However, I've been advised , for a while, to increase my calcium intake by 3 portions a day (such as '200ml milk, a yogurt, "matchbox" size piece of cheese').  I'd normally count 20g as a portion of cheese so this is really increasing my intake and adding to my saturated fat consumption which I really wanted to avoid as I have high levels of cholesterol.  But - I've found that oranges and apricots are also good sources of calcium.  Though this would increase my sugar consumption a bit, I think it is preferable.  Any way, I'm building up to the higher figure and think it may also affect my figure in an upward direction on the bathroom scales.

Can you increase your green veg, things like kale, cabbage, chard and broccoli are a good source of calcium, I think some nuts and pulses do as well for example a small tin of baked beans and if you are a fish eater tin sardines or tin salmon are good.  I have a family history of osteoporosis and remember this from a diet sheet my mum was given once.

      Hi
Well done on all the losses.
Is the opposite for me, mostly feels so slow going. The weighing and tracking and adding up, such a bore and takes like forever which I think has a lot to do with that. I wouldn’t mind if it felt quicker as I’ve almost another year of weightloss until I’m out of the overweight bmi category (based on a loss of 7lbs a month).
Today breakfast was a bowl of Greek yoghurt and lovely fresh berries and slivered almonds, 2 x coffee with cream then a cup of tea with milk later. Other meal; spinach soup and a salad with smoked salmon and some of the mini mozzarella pesto balls with olive oil and vinegar, sf orange jelly for dessert. A square of dark chocolate later.

@Brambling 1.5 off for me please.

      Well done everyone.

I'm trying very hard to get in a better loss for this quarter, I put a pair of jeans on at the weekend which I've not worn in sometime and they fit as they should.  I have my knee injection this week so am aiming to be very good as I'm sure they will want to weigh me.
