  • Initial impressions of the Kroo app on Android are worse than useless, very slow buggy. It has taken me several days of trying to even get as far as registering. Based on progress so far it would be several more days or repeatedly attempting to get the thing running so I am not going to waste any more time.

    I won't be putting money away in what seems like a flaky system just to gain an extra 0.2% or so over Santander e Saver.

    Not impressed and a little disappointed to find it being recommended on MSE.

  • I've not encountered any difficulties using the app on Android, nor any difficulties moving funds around.

    Applied last Wednesday morning after watching Martin mention it on his show the Tuesday eve, app says 'we will be in touch shortly' and it still says it a week later. Hardly fills me with confidence. I even sent them a message 2 days ago and that has not been replied to. Think I will look elsewhere
  • Kroo is terrible, I've signed up last week, it's taken them several days to set up the account, if you messaged them in the meantime the reply would be, at the same time: 'we're open from 7am!' and when I messaged them at 8am the reply was: 'we're closed'! Now the account is open, I sent them a message yesterday, and they've yet to reply. I was going to move my money from Marcus, but I cannot trust them. Also, no mention of the savings rate.
  • Xiaomi Mi8, flawless experience so far and I plan to move my pot from Al Rayan mostly for the full 24/7 access, as Al Rayan only sends withdrawals in business hours.

    I’m in the same boat, twitter account saying they are inundated although others opening fairly quickly. My guess is something needs manually checked and that’s the hold up. It would have been nice but now I’m doubting if I’ll even get an account.
  • Kroo running on iPhone 7 with the latest iOS and all seems fine. Payments in and out are almost instant, only blip so far is for a deposit this morning which is being reviewed
  • Was going to move my HSBC Online Saver cash to Kroo this morning, however, I am not secure with the idea of a four-figure sum in an account which has a debit card attached to it, so opted for my Zopa ladder instead at 3.26%. 

    Not easy access, granted, but I do get access every ~14 days, based upon how I have set up my system there, That'll suit me, alongside credit cards for any emergencies.

    I will watch the experience of others with Kroo though, in case I change my mind (which is often the case :smile:)
