It's for kids.  If your £ throughput is about £1k a month, they are gloriously easy to use and the app is a pleasure.
They proclaim on their web site "No more faff", but I guess that only applies to Gen-Z and their pocket money.

I've been trying them for a year before switching over my main current account.  We are all used to banks being cautious about money-laundering etc., but Kroo's appetite for this is annoyingly intrusive.

So, very much faff. So much faff I'm thinking of closing the account.

Where my other banks don't bat an eyelid at anything less that 10k, Kroo will frequently interrupt payments of £1k, and question trivial amounts of repeat spend to the same organisation. 

They're quite rude in how they ask these things, and when I asked them to quote where in the T&Cs they can ask intrusive questions, they completely ignored the question.

Currently they are sitting on a £4k transaction from Dec into my account, and taking up to two weeks to respond to each "chat" comment.

I really want to like them.  Day to day paying for small things is fine, but they are not ready to be mainstream
