Thanks for that, I had kept the email but didn't realise there was a bit to check on progress. Mine is still awaiting confirmation of my 'purchase'. So it will probably be sent at the 60 day mark.

Same here, it tracked as "sign up" but hasn't changed to purchased or gift card since. 9 days to go before it's been 60 days.

However, the app still works, the account's still visible, etc. and very little has actually changed, even now. Having asked their customer service about this, they say whilst they have closed the account I can still see/do things... "just in case". Not a complaint, but just a bit odd.

I have been waiting for days for Kroo to close my account as the interest rate is not competitive and I don't rate the UI, security or CS enough to use it for anything else. I prefer to be booted out and know for certain it is done, being left in the app is ok if its like a platform where you could conceivably use them for something else, but with Kroo that sounds utterly bizarre.

Just received an email from Kroo with upcoming T&C;

We’re making it simpler for you to know how much interest you’ll earn on your current account.

 

From 15 October 2023 onwards, we’ll pay you a ‘tracker’ rate set at 0.9% below the Bank of England’s base rate, so you always know what to expect. 

 

We’re amending our Terms & Conditions to reflect this change.

 

How will it work?

 

With a tracker interest rate, the interest you’ll earn on your Kroo current account will stay 0.9% below the Bank of England base rate, whether it goes up or down.

Until then, the interest we pay on your Kroo current account is 4.35% AER* / 4.26% Gross (variable).

Just got mine too, I think my 60 days ended on the 19th so nice of them to send it early.
