    They haven't ditched it.

Don't worry. The PPCs have temporarily blocked it and put the Govt in a difficult position, but it will be sorted and won't have won the PPCs any fans.

  • I’ve checked the penalty notice page and it now says the pcn has now been passed to an enforcement agent.

As they are claiming they contacted me on the 22/8th and have not given me a POPLA code I don’t know where I now stand.

I’ve read it. As she says, don’t hold your breath, still doesn’t really answer where I stand.

Oh, I thought it was suggesting that you all get together and complain to the BPA about the systematic skulduggery being undertaken by APCOA.

Any APCOA thread you care to read tells you that you can safely ignore them anyway.  I also suggested you read @bergkamp 's update today.

bergkamp is not worried where he stands.  Not sure why anyone worries about having to do something. Yes, it looks like they are scamming people but you don't have to do anything.

I note that the appeal outcome was not received. In the first instance, we would recommend reaching out to the parking operator to request a copy of this. If the parking operator is able to provide a copy of this document, because we have no way of ascertaining whether documents were or were not sent or received by either party, we would not be able to investigate further.

Did they really say that?  What does it mean - standing outside the offices of APCOA with your arms outstretched - if they mean "contact APCO", why not say that, we don't need Americanisms!

  • Just been speaking to a friend, a very good barrister (government use their services) who said ignore it. They have no evidence of the vehicle even being parked there so let them take it to court it will get nowhere.

Which is exactly what the advice here was: ignore.

Your barrister friend won't know that APCOA never try court and don't use the POFA.

He's wrong that they need evidence of parking. They don't. In any case they do have an image of the car stopped in your case, and the new incoming Government Code of Practice says that more than momentary stopping can lead to a parking charge (it's a matter of fact and degree).
